He msut be voicetracked. Wrong track played into the wrong song today. Mid-day lady seems tracked too, same thing happened. Definitely not the KZOK Steve Slaton. Sounded really strange to hear Steve going into the Monkees today, really strange. Neutered Steve...too bad. I was hoping KZOK would get a challenge.

It doesn't matter if it's "neutered Steve" or live. You're not going to beat a Classic Rock station with The Monkees, Beach Boys and Aretha Franklin.

Had a chance to hit the big city today, tuning into KJR FM, and around 11 am, in the middle of a long stop set, a 10-15 second segment of dead air. Come on, this is Seattle, not Aberdeen.

Plus using the term " 9 5 point 7" by itself sounds bland.

Was too upset with the traffic when leaving town that I forgot to listen to the afternoon drive program.

I would think that if the ratings show the need, CC will let KJR lean classic rock and let Steve do what he does best. I thought for a time that he had Selector duties at either KISW or KZOK, but please correct me if I am wrong.. Honestly I couldn't think of but 2 people that could compete with him on the MD front in Seattle.. Who wants to name them??

I am noticing a slight rock shift. More Bob Segar and Heart, less Supremes and Monkees. Don't listen enough outside of mornings to know for sure.
