I don't think WBEB has ever stayed all-Christmas this long after Christmas Day ends, have they?! It's a bit surprising because one may think folks in offices and stores might look for an alternative to all-Christmas music on December 27. But the folks at B101.1 must be getting some really good indicators about how Christmas is performing vs. how the regular format was doing lately. I thought they were gonna be sticking with the formula of 1 or 2 per hour through Sunday but, hey, I'm certainly not complaining.
Separately, we had opined about how The Breeze would handle the Christmas season. As we know by now, Uber drivers' station of choice seems to be The Breeze so I did get to hear a bit and they actually were tossing in Christmas songs. Seemed like less than one per hour though. I didn't hear them at all on Christmas Day so I'm not sure what they did for the actual day.
Interesting dynamics here. I wonder how the Holiday Book is gonna shake out, especially considering simultaneous ups & downs related to formats like News/Talk and Sports.
