The big news story of the coming decade is government intrusiveness into our lives - and Mike & Chuck, the Fairness Doctrine and wardrobe malfunctions are only the most obvious examples. You can't talk on the cellphone and drive in New York - but you can legally juggle a cheeseburger, fries and Coke behind the wheel. San Fransisco just made it a crime - a CRIME, mind you - to pack groceries in a plastic bag. NYC and other municipalities are regulating how much fat we're allowed to eat. And so forth.
Yep, I know, far afield from HD Radio, so here's the whiparound:
...and the damn government is giving SOME stations permission to LEGALLY JAM OTHERS!! Regulatory elitism!

-Spoken like a true rugged individualist from the north country. It's funny that the folks up there fall for the Republican's hook-line-and sinker for so long as their cities and towns die.. It seems to be a case of what do you hate more; Downstate Liberals or destitution.

I can tell you as a Manhattanite there is no love lost from here either. We are not amused at petty despots such as Joe Bruno meddling with our rent, consumer and tax laws in a transparent effort to pay-off political depts that prop up his dwindling fiefdom.

If the choice were mine, I'd cut-off that area at the knees, well, at the northern Westchester border and let y'all enjoy the full redolence of your chosen leaders.
