Strawberry fired from WILD!

"lovin the tunes" is obviously a tman show member.

the tman show has absolutely no buzz which is why they go on message boards to pump up their show.

as for facts...Strawberry had just over a year in morning drive and always trended upwards. Furthermore, if #3 18-34A is "not having it" then tell me what is for a 1st year morning show that had the uneviable task of replacing the doghouse with absolutely NO PROMOTIONAL support whatsoever.

Bottom line is they were headed in the right direction and would have continued. But this is corporate radio where companies want an instant fix and there is only ONE instant fix, but he now gets paid $100 mil a year to be on Sirius.

Wow, that's pretty silly. Could it be possible that somebody out there actually likes a show that others hate?????????????

If any show or station thinks they can squeeze any "buzz" out of this industry-only board to help ratings then that would make them pretty pathetic and misguided.

The T-Man show is not one that strikes me as one since we've been getting the "buzz" on that show all the way on the other coast. I thought the people that posted on this board knew more of what's going on. I'd estiamte about an 80% chance that that show will be on a station in NYC in the next 3-12 months.

Here's hoping it's mine! (but that's looking pretty darn doubtful lately)
 
That and she was terrible....especially for the format. She had nothing in common with Star's target audience and was unable to fake having anything in common. Did I mention she was terrible on the air?

T-Man...Haven't heard him long enough to have real opinion about HIS show....However, I don't think Strawberry & Co. were given a real chance. And they seemed to be pulling some decent numbers...pretty good when you're following a long-standing morning show. And they sure didn't give Strawberry a lot of promo push....no billboards or other big campaigns...

Leadership in the CC SF building is and has been a complete mess. Revenues are way down this year. Do you blame Sales or programming?

You said you worked for CBS and WILD is CC, so how do you know that T-MAN will be on in NY in 3-12 Months? Don't you think the new PD at WFNY would be pissed at his AE's for wanting a CC show on in NY?

In your opinion do you really think Strawberry would seek employment with his old morning show crew? You keep putting that efrshow on your posts. Do you think that would be smart of him? I wonder if he would just find a gig by himself.

He wouldnt take anything but a daypart... weekends wouldnt be worth it...
 
just knowing the connections that rick delgado has you would have to assume a pretty signifigant daypart...if i was a menace i would probably leak more...but let's just say...stay tuned for now.
 
Well, if Rick Delgado has so many connections, how come he's still unemployed right? Seems like he was waiting for Strawberry to get fired. Too bad for Bay Area Radio, where is the love??????????
 
How can Strawberry do FM Talk, when he didn't really do that before? His night show was music oriented. And he didn't exactly talk for 4 hours in the mornings?

The transition is really tough and Strawberry will have to appeal to an older demo...

Doubt it would work. He is fit to work in an urban station

What is it about KYLD morning shows and the way they use these boards? Nothing against Strawberry, but he has shown zero evidence at being able to do Hot Talk. Maybe he will get a tryout on one of the Free FM's around the country, but honestly, what out of work DJ has not?

But back to KYLD

The DogHouse has long had plants on this board along with their fans here. T-Man had fans here before he ever said a word on Bay Area radio. Now Strawberry. Some even posted on the NYC board talking about him going there. Why not other random folks? Where are the Cammy Blackstone rumors? How come the Darian O'Toole fans don't make up her next gig here? Is registration to this site required in the KYLD employee handbook?

Except I think the only ones that bring it are the Dog House.

Objectively speaking, the Dog House can do the FM Talk. They were never a heavy based music show to begin with.

Strawberry I liked as a music jock, but to do all talk? Nada.

T-Man? Who? Never heard him, don't plan to...
