doubt with our luck this will happen,, but 93 Rock in Miami has went away and is playing Santa jamz,,, any chance Party 93.1 might come back...
 
I certainly hope so! I hope it would sound like Z103.5 Toronto or Party FM Long Island. But IMO I'm thinking they may go CHR/rhythmic to battle out Power 96.
 
I think Power 96 pretty much owns the rhythmic boots around sfla,, so lets hope the bring the party or some form of dance friendly Rhythmic top 40 back. I like Rock and all, but I just never did feel that station.
 
That frequency has a killer signal and there is no reason why they would keep a station with such horrible ratings, so it doesn't surprise me they are going to flip.

I would love to see a Rhythmic Dance type station. If they did a Rhythmic, it's almost guaranteed that it would be dance leaning because Cox also owns Miami's Urban station. I could also see them doing a Hot AC to protect WFLC and go after WHYI...
 
Well, it looks like next door neighbor WMIA has also gone All Christmas, too. So something must be up in South Florida with those two stations.
 
LOL You can still listen to it, it will just be an hd1 station.
 
I am following the Miami board lately wuth 93 rock flipping, and of course I would love for Party to come back home, however, I did hear Party was bleeding money. Look at how dance was in 2002-2004 compared to now. This would be a perfect time for Party to come back and reasons are not due to WMC or Ultra, but now with dance slowly hitting mainstream, Cox Media can actually turn Party into a profit.
 
Lets not forget that Phil Michaels Trueba is also in the building, and if anything one can suspect that he might be involved in this scenario.

Be forewarned... Remember what happened in Milwaukee back in June 2010 when Clear Channel's WQBW pulled a fast one on Saga's WJZX? We all know how that one turned out.
 
It looks like both CC and COX are trying to call each other's bluff. I wouldn't be surprised if a format flip gets decided at the last minute.
 
Wouldnt it be something if they both went Dance...hahahahhahahahaha It could happen.. One KTU style Dance, and one Vibe 94.5 Dance type station.

Party wasn't bleeding per se...it was the fact that a rock station that was around flipped format and Cox just went after that rock audience left behind. But yes, dance is coming around again and adding rhythmic elements along with ON-AIR PERSONALITIES (something that wasn't there during the original run) could keep the new format on a long time.
 
I'm 99% sure that 93.1 will flip to be a dance leaning station. It would be a huge mistake if they did not. Just take a look at the American Music Awards and how dance music made the show worth watching. Dance is mainstream again.

It seems logical that CC would want to protect Y-100 IF Cox does indeed do a dance leaning Top 40. It's possible that CC could tweak 93.9 to be a lil more current and beat COX to the punch like Only1moore mentioned. So it appears to be like a chess game right now.
 
Im thinking,, like I said that they may both be some form of Dance,, at least one of them... Im hoping for a Slam FM type Dance station, cause thats a proven philosiphy in alot of Europe and parts of the middle east. And to a point,, parts of Latin America. like the stations in La-Paz Bolivia.
