As a foreword, let me say that I am not defending Mel or Sirius/XM in any way regarding the rate increase (that according to the merger agreement was NOT supposed to happen). What I am saying is that as someone who could care less about the politics involved, as someone who just wants to hear the programming, as someone who can't even begin to hear the variety and styles available on SAT-RAD anywhere else, I am not about to unsubscribe. No, I don't like the increase. But for fifty cents a day, which is miles and miles less than my cable bill, I have it all in the way of audio entertainment with the XM Family-Best of Sirius in the car, and at home and at work online. Jeez, a coke out of the machine at work cost $1.25 now and only lasts until I drink it or it sits there and gets hot and stale and I dump half of it out. I have the entire world of sports and music for half a buck a day. Maybe I am naive regarding some of the issues here, but for crying out loud, how can anyone bash what SAT-RAD costs and delivers in return?
