SUGGESTION FOR 92.1 FM

KTN Corp said:
Houston is a Stereo town; the moment people notice the stereo pilot is missing, they will switch back to KUHF.

The overwhelming number of listeners won't notice the stereo is missing at all.

Decades ago on the old analog mechanical receivers, the stereo indicator was quite prominent; its red glow indicating the presence of a station. However, with today's digital readout/PLL tuners with seek/scan functionality, a listener is going to easily find the station regardless of whether it is mono or stereo. In fact, these days the stereo indicator is virtually lost amongst all the other LED/LCD displays. Betcha a lot of people have no idea what the tiny "ST" means, if they've ever even noticed it.

Would have been an issue in the 1970's, but not today.

The sounders need to be changed, it is definitely KRLD's! I don't hear 'News 92 FM' on those chimes like they say on the spots, it's 'K-R-L-D' instead

That's because you are familiar with KRLD. Most Houstonians are not, so they won't make the connection. Think back to the Top 40 days on AM, where numerous stations across the country had the same jingle package. Didn't hurt things then.

Definitely needs to stay in stereo. I even prefer that they use stereo mics.

Since all of the programming (even the commercials) are in MONO, the probably should shut the stereo pilot off.

The stream is in stereo, can't listen to the signal, but i always hate it when FMs go mono...

I'm just saying something original for the first all-news radio station for Radio One and Houston. It seems if CBS Radio was the one who rolled this out, it would be a copy-and-paste of KRLD but 24/7 news.
