Sunday Surprise

Guess the Men In Secret Underwear got the message - Cardinals will be heard on News 92~three instead of Sports Siberia 8~sixty this Sunday. In case you missed it, TMISU ran a totally meaningless Disasterbacks game on KT'R FM & AM last Sunday, while the Cards ran on lowly 8~sixty. There was no valid reason why the D'backs couldn't have run on 6~20 and the Cards on 92~three. Someone was lazy. But we're glad they took our advise. Now the Nurse and I have a few suggestions as to what TMISU can do with all that toast served up between 9am & 3pm daily!

I think this is more a stroke of luck based on game times, rather than
Doc's wish list. The Bidinals fumble starting at 10:00am from Atlanta,
so there's a reasonably good expectation the game will be over by 1:15.

Meanwhile, the Gonzo-goodbye-at-the-BOB first pitches at 1:40.

The KT'R-FM/KT'R/KMVP triplicate can shove any overlapping pre- and
post-game stanzas over to wattage-challenged 860 while offering both
games' PBP action on 92.3/620.

I don't think TMISU will dump the D-Backs finale--with its undercurrent of
Gonzo and Jerry vs. Less-rad and Ken-dreck--over to the peanut whistle.

Rabkard is Drakbar spelled backwards. And so shall it be.

Rabkard, the great frequency shift is only two weeks old and ALREADY you are boring and repeating yourself.

And Ol' 55 is still mono, static-y and boring.

Zuma, TAR sounds great in FM, however they are still toaster talk for Edna in Sun City.

TAR is a boring person in a nice car.

Legend, some people just want a car that veers sharply to the right, and won't be happy with any other model.

If they goad you into updating your name, I hope you pick Compton Terrace.

Compton Terrace remnants still stand.

How about Gooney Golf or Bob's Big Boy or the Adams Hotel?

Round Up drive in, or Thomas Mall or Sombrero Theatre.

I'd gather that 85% of people in the valley have never heard of any of the above....

How about "Winfield Scott Apts. 132A"?
(I see nothing...)

Or "2929 N. 2nd St."?
(They're coming to take me away, ha ha...)

I lost my cherry at the Round Up Drive In. Looked all night for it.

Good thing KDOT signed off at night, because until sunset, its RF infested the Round Up's car speaker system.

Whadaya expect listening aboard the S.S. Minnow in Pt Hueneme harbor!

"Boring" is a copyrighted feature of TMISU. They reserve all rights to use it on FM & AM.

C U at the Kachina Theater!

I was at that Scottsdale apartment that day, takling pictures of the coroner wagon hoping to sell to the Scottsdale Daily Progress (which sent its own photgrapher, which cost me $5 and two rolls of Tri-X).

But Second Street doesn't click. It wasn't the Clarendon House, was it?

Winnie Ruth Judd?

That was back in KFAD days! Even before McMahon was born. Before KOY owner "One Eyed" Jack Williams ever said "It's another beautiful day in Arizona, leave us all enjoy it." Even before Drakbar stole Matt Groening's intellectural proppitty.

Circling back around to the original topic, the Bidinals are indeed a
triplecast this morning (92.3/620/860), however the broadcast on
wattage-challenged 860 is about a second behind the KT'R combo.

This comparison was made around 10:30am using two radios.

Earlier, in the car during the pre-game show, it seemed as if 860
was about three seconds behind, but that compare was done
solely by punching back and forth between 92.3 and 860, and its
accuracy is of course suspect.

As for the D-Backs, their game at 1:40 today is listed as being on
KT'R 620 in the gameday story in the Arizona Socialist Republic,
which in reality means the 92.3/620 simulcast that's in place thru
the rest of 2006.

I look forward to hearing that exciting Diamondbacks postseason play in stereo next weekend, when I'm in Phoenix.
