RoddyFreeman said:The former Sunny 100 is going to simulcast WLKQ-FM (La Raza) in Buford. 1290 will also be Hispanic, but I'm not sure whether it's going to be part of the same simulcast. A salesperson from La Raza told me this several weeks ago.
amlover said:I agree it's sad we lost two more stations to a Spanish language and music format but the new owner has to make money on his investment. Sunny 100 was not making any money and some weeks employee's wondered if a paycheck was coming. Terrestrial radio has lost it's luster and does not matter to the english speaking audience it seems. If Sunny 100 would have had the support of the listening audience it would still be on the air. The Spanish community will still listen to am and fm radio while the rest of us listen to our ipods, internet radio and satellite. It's all about content. If there is nothing for us to be entertained by on the radio we have to many other choices. The am and fm bands have really limited itself and the listner is very challenged and for the most part turned the radio off.

What about "North Georgia's super-hit station, Magic 102-9"?
