Tell that to Gray who has been adding them when they can. My market (Mankato, MN) they added a weather channel to KEYC-DT4 (12-4) a few months ago.Either way, those 24/7 weather channels are long-obsolete.

That was the original though, I believe. It seems that they are willing to spend $$$ on sports. And they are continuing to hire news people as well (I'm sure that the 8th weather person will be along soon for weekend GMAZ).Noticing that Gray is spending money. Wasn't it some chatter that Gray was going to strip-mine their stations to the bare minimums.
We haven't directly discussed this, but Gray re-opening the Flagstaff bureau and starting a Yuma bureau is, well, news. That was the original though, I believe. Well, I was just on the App and they did a Friday Field Trip to Yuma, introduced the new Yuma reporter, and Gibby (who is originally from Yuma) was MC'ing a block party on Saturday. They even announced that GMAZ is back on the air in Yuma.We haven't directly discussed this, but Gray re-opening the Flagstaff bureau and starting a Yuma bureau is, well, news.
Couldn't the stations not owned by Gray in Tucson and Yuma sue to have GMAZ blocked in their markets, because that would be unfair competition to their morning shows? I would think that it's not a good idea for Gray to air GMAZ on any of their stations other than Phoenix and Flagstaff. They even announced that GMAZ is back on the air in Yuma.

In Tucson, Gray could easily paper over most of the KTVK newscasts with KOLD output (the only weekday hours I see without Tucson news are 9:30am, 12:30pm, and 8pm).
Actually, KVOA has an hour-long midday newscast from 12-1pm.
I meant specifically newscasts from KOLD in that sentence.
They'll air at 6 and 6:30, respectively, if the game starts at 7, like tonight.Well that's reasonable. Glad they're not bumping Wheel and Jeopardy to 2AM! 😎
I guess I'm going to become much more familiar with Fox 10 News ...They'll air at 6 and 6:30, respectively, if the game starts at 7, like tonight.
CBS5 still has news at 6:30, with the same familiar faces you see on 3TV.I guess I'm going to become much more familiar with Fox 10 News ...
But not at 8pm or 9pm! I guess I could also watch ABC 15 News on CW 61...CBS5 still has news at 6:30, with the same familiar faces you see on 3TV.

YTTV pulled both 3 and 61. KTVK is gone completely, while KASW was replaced with the national CW feed. I doubt it's because they hate local sports, since the GCU basketball games that air on KUTP/45 are not blacked out. Gray and Scripps probably wanted more money, and YouTube said No.![]()
NBA's Phoenix Suns Set to Get Pulled Off YouTube TV Amid vMVPD's Dispute With Gray Television
The Suns' new local TV home, KTVK Arizona's Family, is caught in drama between the owner of its new broadcast home and America's fourth largest pay TV service providerwww.nexttv.com
Unless your affiliated with a major network like CBS, YouTube not really hates MLB but also regional NBA and NHL games.
Consider that the "Coalition For Local News" demands change since the FCC don't regulate cable and streaming content right now. The parent companies of the broadcast networks bundle their own stations & cable networks with their affiliates in the streaming provider negotiations than having cable, satelitte, and telcos negotiate with the station groups separate from the network owners that bundle their own stations with their cable channels.YTTV pulled both 3 and 61.
