Swing 1270 WHLD

Klutch, have you heard of this new technology called the Internet? Swing 1270 actually has a website where you can listen, and find out about promotions like their "Big Band Dance Party". I'm pretty sure that they're hoping to "to gain greater visibility particularly with non-regular listeners", and maybe even "make some money".

The dance/party will also serve as an excellent opportunity to meet up with potential advertisers. Great idea.

Some of the smaller AM stations (WECK, WLVL, WSPQ, etc.) should consider doing the same in the future. You don't need dancing, just bodies to show up and free stuff to hand out and you make those listeners become long-term fans of your station.

I think that's what Brad Riter had in mind when he did the WECK birthday party a few months back, but it sounds like a younger crowd mixed with alcohol and a busy sports bar made it hard to get "business" conducted in that setting.

The big question of the day... with Harv Moore make an appearance ?

Found WHLD on my wifi radio last night.. lots of songs with a "soldier/military/ww2" vibe.

Sure would like to do voice imaging for them. I started at WHLD in 1969 when the studios were in the Parkway Motor Hotel. It was an Earl C. Hull owned station with Bob Wells, Iney Wallens, eddy Jo..and Bob Kobernuss. That music was and is still awesome. The station stream sounds great.

Really proud of WHLD.

Hey Jeff, drop the operations manager a line and see what he/she says.

You never know...

Harv is having a grand old time! Humble Harv is happy and the listeners love him!

You must not have gotten the memo: It's ALL theirs. If you are able to enjoy it before they get there, bully for you, but it all belongs to them.
