Not to mention Waynesville got one several years ago and closed the smaller store in Lake Junaluska. Right next to my motel, so while the manager could have gone across the street to get TVs to replace the ones damaged in the previous night's storm two years ago, I had to wait for him to get back to officially check in. Fortunately, the maid let me into my room. The people I was with had their own motel.eacalhoun1 said:And a new Wal-Mart Supercenter is slated for Franklin, just down the road from Sylva,
Same in Waynesville. They have a transmitter, and there are high school sports events, but otherwise it just repeats Beck, Rush and Hannity and the Asheville morning show. No good music in the mountains except a country station with a lousy signal that pretty much goes off the air at night. Plus classical when it's available.eacalhoun1 said:and home to two more Art Sutton stations. Franklin just "lost" a local AM. It's still on the air, but no longer local.
