Syndication for 2020-2021!!

Cops is currently on WCCB Saturday and Sunday late nights (Sunday and Monday mornings) from 1 until 3:30am.

UPDATE: Just checked and WCCB has replaced it with Millionaire in the same time slots.

WLNY in New York still has Cops listed for this and other weekends for now. Like WCCB, they delay five episodes in a row to the weekend. I have the first two episodes set to record just in case they are in fact replaced with Millionaire or another show and the listings don't reflect it yet.

The CW+ (CW in smaller markets) removed COPS this week (it was on at 6 & 6:30am) and moved Judge Jerry up an hour (from 7 & 7:30am) and replaced that with a episode of Maury. So Maury has 3 episodes in 5 hours (7am, 10 & 11am)

Wonder if we'll lose Sheriffs of El Dorado County as well.

its no longer listed on the CW+ stations (CW for smaller markets). Use to be on weeknights at 1am, Saturday at 5pm and Sundays from 4-5:30pm (times central)
weeknights it was replaced with Pure Outdoor and weekends its Bob's Burgers on Saturdays. Sundays they moved a bunch around

Goldbergs moves from 9:30 & 10pm to 4 & 4:30pm
Black-ish is at 5 & 5:30 (5:30 replaces Family Guy)
The Listener gets moved up an hour (double run at 9:30 & 10:30)
11:30pm is The Immortals (sports themed show)
midnight is The Short List (again sports related)
12:30am is Pure Outdoor (replacing a second run of Made in Hollywood)

Sheriffs is still airing in Cleveland on WBNX CW 55 as of this week, seemingly its last like Live PD. It airs weeknights (Tue-Sat) at 2:30 AM, and two episodes on Sundays at 2:30 AM and 5:30 AM. Starting next week, the weekday airings are replaced with the secondary run of Millionaire, and the Sunday 2:30 airings are replaced with another episode of Pawn Stars' weekend run. Not sure what replaces it at 5:30 since that time slot is pre-empted with the movie "Finding Forrester" on 6/28.

As of its final week, only 6 of the Top 20 markets still carry syndie Live PD.

New York: WWOR My 9 weeknights at 1:00 and 1:30 AM. [Replaced with Dateline]

Philadelphia: WPHL My 17 weekdays at 11:00 AM.

Dallas: KDAF CW 33 weekdays at 4:00 AM (Mon-Fri, not Tue-Sat). [Replaced with Protection Court]

Houston: KTXH My 20 weekdays at 2:30 PM.

Boston: WFXT FOX 25 weeknights at 1:05 AM.

Phoenix: KAZT 7 (ind) weeknights at 10:00 and 10:30 PM.

Denver: *WEEKENDS ONLY* KTVD My 20 Saturdays at 12:00 and 12:30 PM and Sundays at 2:00 and 2:30 PM (frequently pre-empted by movies).

Cleveland: WJW FOX 8 weeknights at 2:30 AM.

Sacramento: KQCA My 58 weekdays at 5:00 AM (Mon-Fri, not Tue-Sat) and Sundays from 2-4 PM. [Replaced with Right This Minute, Chicago PD, and Dateline]

Now 5 at most. It's now gone in Boston, too. 1:05 AM is now a repeat of WFXT's 11:00 news.

I checked Houston and Phoenix on Locast and it's still airing in those markets. I will try to check Philadelphia and Cleveland tomorrow.

Did a Top 20 market check for Sheriffs: El Dorado County. As of this week, it is carried in 12 of the top markets, more than Cops (7 at most) and Live PD (5 at most). However, only 2 air it on weekdays and will drop it after this week. The others air it on weekends only, and still have it on the schedule for subsequent weekends as well. It also does not have any time slots earlier than 10:00 PM local time, with almost all of its local airings being overnight. It appears the maximum number of episodes per week on offer is 7 - single run for weekdays and a double run for the weekend.

Dallas: KDAF CW 33 Sundays at 3:00 and 3:30 AM Central.

Houston: KIAH CW 39 Mondays at 3:00 and 3:30 AM Central.

San Francisco: KRON My 4 Saturdays at 10:00 and 10:30 PM Pacific. However, both of this Saturday's episodes are pre-empted by two specials.

Atlanta: WPCH 17 (independent "Peachtree TV") Sundays at 1:00 and 1:30 AM Eastern.

Phoenix: KAZT 7 (independent) weeknights at 1:30 AM and Saturdays at 5:00 and 5:30 PM Arizona time. Leaving the schedule after this week; being replaced with The Andy Griffith Show on weeknights and M*A*S*H on Saturdays.

Seattle: KONG 16 (independent) Sundays at 11:00 and 11:30 PM Pacific.

Detroit: WMYD My 20 Mondays at 1:00 and 1:30 AM Eastern.

Minneapolis: WUCW CW 23 Saturdays at 10:30 PM and Mondays at 2:30 AM Central.

Denver: KWGN CW 2 Sundays at 1:00 and 1:30 AM Mountain.

Orlando: WRDQ 27 (independent) Sundays at 12:00 and 12:30 AM Eastern.

Cleveland: WBNX CW 55 weeknights at 2:30 AM and Sundays at 5:30 AM Eastern. Leaving the schedule after this week; being replaced with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on weeknights, Sunday replacement unknown as of now.

Sacramento: KTXL FOX 40 Mondays at 1:00 and 1:30 AM Pacific. (Note: KTXL was apparently the first station to air the show before it was rolled out nationally)

I also looked up San Diego and Fresno since those are the only DMA rank 21-99 markets based in California, which is the state where the show is based. I imagine nobody outside the Top 100 would have it locally since CW Plus had it until recently.

San Diego: Not carried.

Fresno: KFRE CW 59 Mondays at 1:00 and 1:30 AM.

Finally found what WGHP is replacing Live PD weeknights at 1:30am with, via TV Passport. Impractical Jokers.

Both the TV Guide and Titan TV apps had Seinfeld in that slot and Live PD at 2pm, and not til the week of the 29th, and I knew that wasn’t right. And I knew Seinfeld doesn’t have 3 weekday runs. (They still air it at 7 and 7:30pm).

Cops is still carried in at least 8 of the Top 20 markets, with the top two of them apparently delaying the weekday primary run's five episodes to weekends.

New York: WLNY 10/55 (ind.) Sundays at 2:00 AM, 2:30 AM, and 2:00 PM; Mondays at 2:00 and 2:30 AM.

Philadelphia: WPSG CW 57 Saturdays at 2:00 and 2:30 PM; Sundays at 2:00 and 2:30 AM; Mondays at 3:00 AM.

Oddly, both WLNY and WPSG have pre-empted their afternoon airings of Cops ("Wednesday" on WLNY, "Monday" and "Tuesday" on WPSG) with Paid Programming for this weekend, but the overnight airings are still on the schedule, and all five episodes are still up for the following weekends.

WLNY New York has now taken all Cops airings off the schedule. The 2-3 AM Sunday airings have been replaced with Impractical Jokers, while the other three airings at 2 PM Sunday and 2-3 AM Monday have been replaced with Millionaire.

Although syndicated Millionaire aired on O&O WABC for most of its run, WLNY did briefly carry the secondary run of it in the mid-2010's when WABC only had room for the primary run, which was interesting considering the two stations have no co-ownership at all. In fact, when WCBS bought them out in 2012, they had to drop Ellen, Jeopardy!, and Wheel of Fortune since those shows air on WCBS's competitors (WNBC for Ellen, WABC for J!/WOF).

Five markets are dropping Cops after this week.

Atlanta: WUPA CW 69 is replacing its only airing with Millionaire weeknights at 3:30 AM Eastern.

Miami: WBFS My 33 is replacing its only airing with Millionaire weekday mornings at 4:30 AM Eastern.

Kansas City: KSMO My 62 is replacing it with a double run of Millionaire weekdays at 12:00 PM Central.

Greenville, SC/Asheville, NC: WHNS FOX 21 is replacing its only airing with Millionaire weekday mornings at 4:30 AM Eastern.

Tucson: KMSB FOX 11 is replacing its double run with an additional run of The Wendy Williams Show weeknights at 3:00 AM Mountain.

There are still at least 33 markets that will continue airing Cops.

Except for Cleveland, nobody seems to have any qualms about Sheriffs: El Dorado County, unlike Cops and Live PD (the latter of which is completely off the airwaves now). At least 61 markets carry Sheriffs currently, and show no plans to drop it in July. However, apparently the show's last new episode was in November 2019, and only 13 of these markets air the show on weekdays, with the others only carrying its weekend run.

Any reason why, once the pandemic began, many stations, especially CBS affiliates, began pre-empting whatever syndies they air Saturday nights at 7 and/or 7:30 ET with Paid Programming? Pretty much all the CBS O&O's have been doing this, and several others as well, sometimes with just one slot of the hour, sometimes both. WHP CBS 21 in Harrisburg (not an O&O) has moved Wheel of Fortune Weekend to Saturday afternoons at 12:00 PM (immediately after E/I CBS Dream Team) so they can air infomercials at 7:00. Jeopardy! Weekend usually remains Saturdays at 7:30, but sometimes also moves to 12:30 to make room for an infomercial. WCBS in NY has not aired Entertainment Tonight Weekend at 7:00 for several months; instead moving it to 5:00 PM Saturday if available, or 5:00 AM Sunday.

WBTV has aired infomercials at that time for as long as I can remember. :( I couldn’t tell you the last syndicated program they aired Saturday night from 7-8pm. Granted they often have SEC football overruns but still...

WXSP airs ES.TV at 2:30AM T-S which hasn't been aired since the fall of 2018 at 6AM as Nexstar decided to not air it anymore since Live PD: Police Patrol got cancled.

But WBTV airs hardly any syndicated programming anyway, so maybe it's always been like that.

"Cops" and "Live PD" are also gone in the Quad Cities. WQAD 8.3 displaced both shows which used to air back to back from Noon to 1pm. "Chicago PD" moved from 11am to Noon and now they air a simulcast of the local news with ABC channel 8.1

It has been for a long time. They currently only air Funny You Should Ask weekdays at 1:37am. Last weekday daytime syndie they had was Steve, at 3, they replaced that with QC at 3. They are all local other than Funny You Should Ask during the week. They do have weekend programming they could plug in there from 7-8 but CBS still has SEC football for a few more years (if ESPN doesn’t buy them out early) so maybe it’s just as well. Not as bad as when they aired infomercials from 9-10am in the mid 2000s. Granted they have had some Raycom mandated programming then but that’s when they should’ve started news or a local show in that hour. Other than Rachael Ray for a while they generally have not had an established show for a while in that time period. They currently have QC Morning at 9 (formerly Morning Break).

Cops is leaving the York/Harrisburg, PA market after this week. Starting next Monday night/Tuesday morning, it is replaced with an additional run of RightThisMinute at 2:30 AM Eastern on WPMT FOX 43.

These other markets dropped Cops within the past two weeks:

Providence, RI: WPRI My 12.2 replaced its 6:30 AM Eastern airing with Millionaire and its 3:00 AM airing with Impractical Jokers.

Syracuse, NY: WSYT-DT3 My 43 replaced both airings at 9:00 and 9:30 AM Eastern with Millionaire.

New Orleans, LA: WUPL My 54 replaced a double run at 2:00 and 2:30 AM Central with an encore of Dr. Phil, which first airs on sister WWL CBS 4 at 4:00 PM.

Des Moines, IA: KCWI CW 23 replaced its 12:00 and 12:30 PM Central airings with additional runs of The Verdict with Judge Hatchett and Protection Court. Both shows are also paired earlier in the day at 8:00 and 8:30 AM.

With these gone, there will still be 28 affiliates airing Cops. The largest market that still carries it is Houston - on indie KUBE 57 weekdays at 1:00 and 1:30 PM Central.
