Syndication for 2021-2022

UPDATE: YS will also be on WJZY. Just saw the exact same promo on there during BBT, expecting it to say that it was going to be on WMYT, but apparently they are splitting up the two runs between the two stations.

I was thinking that WMYT might have YS at 6 and 6:30, followed by BBT at 7 and 7:30, with WJZY’s run of BBT moving to 11:30 after Charlotte Sports Live. But that when I thought WMYT was getting both YS. I think WJZY will have YS at 7 and BBT at 7:30 and will be one of the few stations to air YBYL earlier in the day, maybe paired with 25 Words or Less. If they don’t that’s what they should do. Just not sure what WMYT will pair their run of YS with. Normally stations air double runs of sitcoms. Maybe WMYT will air a run of YBYL.

My guesses for who ends up with which in Traverse City-Cadillac:
You Bet Your Life: WGTU 29 (ABC) in late afternoon/early evening (they currently air a triple run of Judge Judy followed by a double run of DailyMailTV) or WPBN 7 (NBC) at 12:30pm (which is currently paid programming)
Nick Cannon: WFQX-DT2 (CW+)
Young Sheldon: WWTV 9 (CBS) or WFQX 32 (FOX)

WXMI Fox17 has now put Friends at 7PM started last week so it now has 2 EP's one at 7PM the other at 12:30AM, Newsfeed is now on at 4:30AM the graveyard which was when the morning news started now starts a half-hour later at 5AM. I wonder if IBYL will be taking that 7PM & 8PM on Sep 13 promos haven't given the time or even the date when it will debut. Which Friends hasn't been aired in early access prime in years since 2012 when it was aired in the late-night hours with no promos either until now.

American Housewife will be syndicated to CBS's secondary stations according to the release.

Disney Media Entertainment & Distribution said Thursday it has cleared American Housewife for a fall 2022 broadcast syndication premiere, licensing the family sitcom to stations representing more than 85% of the country.

CBS Television Stations will serve as the launch group and will broadcast the series on 13 of their owned stations across major markets including: WLNY New York; KCAL Los Angeles; WPSG Philadelphia; KTXA Dallas-Fort Worth; KBCW San Francisco; WSBK Boston; WUPA Atlanta; WTOG Tampa, Fla.; KSTW Seattle; WKBD Detroit; WBFS Miami; KMAX Sacramento, Calif.; and WPCW Pittsburgh.

In addition to these CBS Television Stations, the series has also been sold to stations from broadcast groups including Weigel Broadcasting, Nexstar Media Group, E.W. Scripps, Hubbard Broadcasting, Hearst Communications, Gray Television, Bahakel Communications, Tegna Media, Lockwood Broadcast Group, Mission Broadcasting, Cox Media Group, Meredith Corporation, NPG Broadcasting and American Spirit Media.

Good news that was much needed. But waiting until 2022 to launch is further proof that ABC made a huge mistake cancelling the show this year. AHW just got cheated out of up to 30 episodes worth of syndication money, including the 7 to 9 episodes they were cheated out of this season when they were shortened to 13 episodes (counting the carryover originally scheduled Season 4 finale). They outrated Home Economics. They were ABC’s third highest rated sitcom. But only got the bare minimum needed for syndication. If ABC was going to cancel this year, then they might as well launch it in broadcast syndication THIS year.

I think it will wind up on WCCB here, as it is a good fit with Mom, Blackish, Two Broke Girls and Katy’s previous sitcom Mike and Molly. It could end up on WAXN or WMYT but it fits the best on WCCB.

Iowa doesn't even have Black-ish in local syndication in the Des Moines area
Charlotte doesn’t have Last Man Standing and I don’t think they ever have.

The Jackson, MS market never has had the Goldbergs, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly. It was 2 years after Modern Family was syndicated that the Jackson CW subchannel (owned by CBS affiliate WJTV) finally began to air it. It makes me scratch my head (sometimes).

Given that Bahakel was mentioned I predict WCCB as well.

Blackish just wrapped up its run and Two and a Half Men reruns from 15 years ago are still beating them in the syndicated ratings...and so are 25-year-old Seinfeld reruns! Just like 'The Middle' some years back, people have their particular tastes for weeknight sitcom reruns, and Black-ish isn't the one.
Anyways, with American Housewife going to syndication in September 2022 and Cox being one of the broadcast groups getting it, AH is going to KCYU in Yakima. 80% chance. The other 20% chance is that CW+ snags it which means all "below-100" markets get AH on the same station.

Charlotte NC not having LMS reruns is very surprising. Areas just outside Mecklenburg County are rural, conservative (some went 70%+ Republican) and there are likely a lot of Last Man Standing fans in those areas. How is this show not on WJZY, the CW/MNT stations, or WAXN?!

Blackish still has a season to go.

WMYT would seem to be the best fit for Last Man Standing…if they would slide Schitts and their MyNet programming back an hour they could put it at 10pm after Modern Family. WJZY, WCCB, WMYT and WAXN all have too many infomercials in late night.

To your point about Two and a Half Men and Seinfeld beating Blackish…WCCB needs to acquire one of those shows for the 7pm slot, or maybe Family Feud from WAXN, then WAXN could put Seinfeld in primetime.

Nick Cannon's TV show start on September 27th.
There's only one Nick Cannon show I want to see. I was unaware some weeks of his NBC show with outrageous videos. Maybe it was online like other NBC series but I kept waiting for reruns which I don't think ever aired.

You'd think a show like that would be popular. Yes, I am referring to reruns of what was on NBC. The tamer and family-friendly Alfonso Ribeiro series has been on more than 30 years.

Small market but yeah hard to believe. Some markets such as Raleigh-Durham (WLFL) only air the primary run of The Goldbergs. (The weekend episodes are part of that). I don’t know how long that’s lasted. Better than not airing it at all though.

In most places Seinfeld airs at 11pm after the 10pm news and probably gets more ratings than the 11pm news on the other channels.

That’s probably where WAXN should’ve put it when they started airing 7pm news produced by WSOC in January 2020, but instead they moved two episodes of The Goldbergs to 11 from 6 and moved two episodes of Seinfeld up an hour from 7 to 6.
