Syndication for 2021-2022

The Doctors is like a dead horse being beaten over and over again. Phil McGraw keeps renewing this show that gets 0.1 in the ratings. Time to take it to the grave where it belongs. If Dr. Andrew Ordon wants to do his own separate show, more power to him! My mom was a regular viewer.

I have a feeling that TMZ Hip-Hop goes national in 2023-24 syndication season will be on WXSP. I haven't seen this many shows ending in syndication ever only like 2 or 3 shows get canceled in a season.

So far 2021-22 syndication season is ending.

The Real, The Wendy Williams Show, Daily Mail TV, The Doctors, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Maury, The Good Dish, and Nick Cannon.

Out of those 8 only Ellen is ending on her terms and Maury is retiring. The other 6 have been cancelled.

Karamo Named to be on the fall schedule for some of the following station groups.

Karamo, a new daily talk show from NBCUniversal starring Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown, is on track to debut nationally in syndication this fall with the show sold in 90% of the country, said Tracie Wilson, executive vice president, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios and E! News.

The new series, which replaces NBCU’s long-running Maury in many time-slots across the country, has been sold to such station groups as Nexstar, Weigel, Sinclair, Tegna, Sunbeam, Hearst, Scripps, Capital, Bahakel, Block, CW Plus, Mission Broadcasting and more. Karamo will air on such stations as WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles, WCIU Chicago, WPHL Philadelphia, WATL Atlanta, WLVI Boston, WKCF Orlando, WSVN Miami and WJW Cleveland.

In Traverse City-Cadillac, Karamo (if it clears) will likely air on WFQX-DT2 (CW+). In Grand Rapids, it will likely end up on WXMI, WXSP, or WWMT-DT2

Looks like WCCB for Charlotte. They could put a talk show back into the 6:00 hour but I have a feeling Drew Barrymore might be on a different station next year (WJZY? WAXN?). Or maybe they keep that and don’t pick up Jennifer Hudson, the de facto Ellen replacement. Either way something might be getting squeezed out. They already have two Jerry Springer reruns, two Maurys and two Steve Wilkos’, plus Kelly Clarkson. They might also have American Housewife coming this fall.

You know you're getting cancelled when you get moved to a graveyard slot and replaced with......a RERUN of local news

Last week KEYC-DT2 FOX Mankato moved the Doctors from 7:00am to 4:00am replacing the rerun of Drew (Drew is on at 11am on sister station KMNF NBC). They moved The Good Dish from 8am to 9am which replaced a rerun of Dr Phil (Philis on at 3pm on KEYC CBS). So from 7-8:30 is a rerun of the morning news and a rerun of Business First

what it use to be on KEYC-DT2 Fox
4:00am Drew rerun
5:00 Shepherds Chapel
6:00 Ag Day
6:30 Business First
7:00 Doctors
8:00 Dr Oz/Good Dish
9:00 Dr Phil rerun

Now its
4:00am Doctors
5:00 Shepherds Chapel
6:00 Ag Day
6:30 Business First
7:00 Rerun of KEYC New Morning
8:30 Business First rerun
9:00 Good Dish

This is the drawback of being in market 198/199 (depending on year) and Gray owning all the stations in the market (CBS, FOX, NBC, CW+) the morning news is on BOTH CBS & NBC from 5:30-7 then rerun on FOX from 7-8:30. Its funny to see in the corner on FOX saying "Previously recorded"...well DUH! in the right bottom corner is the temp and shows the time as if it was 5:30

WXMI has gotten rid of the trashy talk show as they got rid of Steve Wilkos this past fall of 2021, kinda surprised that Wilkos wasn't cleared on WXSP or CW7 I have a feeling that it will be back in the fall CW7, WOTV 9AM, or WXSP. Karamo WXSP or CW7 most likely.

as mentioned on the TV Cancelations thread, ROH aired it's last episode last weekend on Sinclair O&O stations and Bally Sports RSNs, as Sinclair now no longer owns ROH, as Tony Khan/AEW completed their sale recently and integrated the ROH titles onto AEW TV recently with Jonathan Gresham retaining his undisputed ROH World title against ROH regular Dalton Castle on the second AEW Battle of The Belts special last weekend (which Gresham got concussed in that match), also they had New Japan's Minoru Suzuki became the ROH TV Champ at Supercard of Honor (which meant to be the event to reboot ROH and carry on had Sinclair not sold it to AEW in March) only to drop the belt to AEW/ROH's newest signing, ROH & TNA/Impact Wrestling Legend Samoa Joe (fresh off of his second release from WWE in a span of a year), also Impact Wrestling's Deonna Purrazzo became ROH Women's Champion on Impact Wrestling defeating the then RokC (now Roxanne Perez in WWE NXT, who made her NXT debut on "NXT Level Up" and then properly made her NXT on USA Network debut last week) to get the ROH Women's title off of her so she can sign with WWE, Deonna's Impact Wrestling employment made it hard for her to defend (and possibly lose) the ROH title at Supercard of Honor so AEW's Mercedes Martinez became interim ROH Women's Champ, also AEW's FTR (FKA The Revival in WWE) became ROH Champs at Supercard of Honor, also Wheeler Yuta won the ROH Pure title the night he formally signed with AEW and joined a newly formed group in AEW called the Blackpool Combat Club which has Bryan Danielson (FKA Daniel Bryan in WWE) and Jon Moxley (FKA Dean Ambrose in WWE) and being managed by William Regal (who was released from WWE NXT earlier this year after being the long time on screen GM and off screen trainer/talent recruiter in WWE). so yeah, all but the World Six Man Tag has been defended in AEW/ROH since the Tony Khan/AEW buyout of ROH.

yeah, ROH on Sinclair Broadcasting Group is done, now the future of ROH on TV may depend on whether or not AEW can get a deal to air ROH on a Warner Brother Discovery network (most likely in the Turner Networks division where AEW TV airs on TNT and TBS).

That too is up in the air due to the recent merger of Warner Media and Discovery.
