Talkers Top 100 Hosts

Did I miss the annual February release? I had surgery last month. I'm interested to know where Beck and Dr. Laura fell to. It's not on the Talkers website.

Wait...what kind of surgery would prevent you from Googling?? You've still got your amygdala don't ya?? ???

J/K

I don't think the list came out yet, although I'm hoping they expand the list to Talker's Heavy 892....then maybe I've got a fighting chance....

All I know is that the massive .jpg file they use to prevent people from Googling the results and forcing them to come to the Talkers website is HIGHLY annoying, and so 1998 web design. There are better ways to direct traffic to your site than place a massive, slow loading image in the middle of it.

Interesting net strategy. Can't blame them from trying to get people to go to their site. However, if it is too much hassle, people will not bother.

Does anyone actually care about Talkers Top 100? It's a meaningless list conceived in the cranium of Michael Harrison. The only useful purpose for this list would be to drive traffic to Talkers, so what's the purpose of concealing it in an html file. Makes no sense.

The annual "heavy hundred" list is usually out by this time, as the original poster noted... Weird... I'll have to ask Mr. Harrison about the delay in this year's list...

One of us should have really swooped in and made up our own Top 100 list for the internets to peruse by now.
We have become sooooooooooooooooo weeeeeaaaaaakkkkk........

Looks like the bidding isn't finish yet... CC , Cumulus, Citadel and TRN fighting it out where their hosts should appear on the list rankings. I'm sure CC has more money to offer, so expect Hannity and Glenn Beck to be on top/

Definitely a fun read, thanks for sharing Mike.

That said, I have to question some of the people included on the list. It's tagged "Radio Hosts" so why are people like Cokie Roberts and Frank DeFord on the list? Well-known commentators/personalities to be sure, but hosts? Not that I'm aware of.
