As usual, Rush is No. 1, Beck is No. 2 and much to a previous commenter's chagrin, Savage is once again No. 3.
Same criteria for Nobel Peace Prizes, I reckon.radiogossip said:I can't believe Huckabee is #58! He's only been on the air a week. What's the criteria for the list, or is it a "who you know" deal?
Good choice of words, "reckon", just as they did with the Nobel Peace Prize when they gave it to Carter because they didn't want to give it to Bush.quadraphonic said:Same criteria for Nobel Peace Prizes, I reckon.radiogossip said:I can't believe Huckabee is #58! Yes, maybe they're going by potential to be important rather than someone who has already
accomplished success in the past year, etc.! Unless they're taking into account his TV show,
but this is a radio list. Jumping the gun?
Michael Harrison made a name for himself in Rock and Roll radio stations. He programmed a number of the most respected stations in the country. Name a successful Rock stations from years ago, his name is probably attached to it.jas2525 said:I have always laughed at the importance many seem to place on this silly list.
As many posters here have already pointed out, there seems to be little rhyme or reason to the way this list is compiled. It's just more of the talkers club predictable circle-you-know-what.
To be honest, I don't know how Michael Harrison ever became such an expert on a format he barely participated in.

I'll bet they were since Jim Ladd (KLOS, now with sat), and Michael Harrison (KMET, etc) were usually in competition with one another in L.A.jas2525 said:badjef said:Michael Harrison made a name for himself in Rock and Roll radio stations. My point exactly.
Veiled references to him in Jim Ladd's book are hysterical.
