Tara Granahan = the worst.

I heard NOTHING but Stupidity with Tara. Tara did a good job on ABC 6, but you really need a professional to be there when John isn't. Ron may not like John and John may not like Ron. Guess what, it's about WPRO, not their drama. I can only say, about 8 15 I switched to HJJ and Helen Glover and rediscovered her show.

On ABC6 she was a news reader which is a bit easier than trying to be a radio personality, especially a fill-in one. She hasn't been anything but a foil for JD to play off in the AM, juries out as to whether she can be anything more.

Just for clarification, that's cackler. And, I think we were being spoofed by JD and TG. That voice sounded like suspiciously like a Charlie Hall character, the way she kept saying the same thing again and again, and the way JD played along with it. It smelled of a set up.

And, it gave TG the opportunity to cackle even more in the background. Do you suppose the pair read this board and set it up as a response to this thread??

Tara handled it. She was really caught off guard! Maybe John was in on it.
The caller said several times, John should be doing the show Alone.
I don't think John would put Tara up to that kind of ridiclue. but who knows?

We'll never know for sure, but my perception of TG's reaction was that she was playing along with it (and not surprised). I would guess they were both in on it. The other thing I realized is that the caller had to get by the call screener and he/she would have squashed a real caller with a personal attack.
 
From an inside source , That call was real. No Charlie Hall there. Depetro has Tara as a ' governor' . To keep a lid on his behavior. Tara took that call to management. It won't happen again. So I'm told.

Tara took a PHONE CALL to Management? Really? The woman who I defended and called Hot may actually just be a big cry baby? Geeeez, that sure is embarassing. Hardly anyone left in local radio these days.. and the ones who are left don't appear to have a backbone. You arn't kidding, right? This is for real? She took a PHONE CALL to the office? Am I understanding this correctly? Hahaha. I don't even know what else to say. I am just sitting here shaking my head.
I can't even count the numerous times that I have heard callers verbally attack the hosts. I've even heard hosts verbally attack their co-hosts. Maybe I am just unaffected by this stuff from all the years I've listened to Stern. So perhaps nothing seems bad to me anymore after the 25 years of hardcore radio I've become used to. But to run and cry to Management because someone called and said that they don't like you? WTF? Anybody that sensitive should not even be allowed near a microphone.


However since this hasn't been verified. I will give Tara the benefit of the doubt and pretend that this didn't actually happen. However if it did indeed happen..... than my entire post above will stand.
 
Well, bingbangbo, thanks for the info. But, I am disappointed that the call was real and sorry that it wasn't an creative bit. Really hoped that they trying to be entertaining instead of the mundane talk radio formula (Take an outspoken stance and make people react). It's become boring and requires little talent or work.

So much for TG keeping a tight leash on JD. JD deep down inside aspires to be another Stern/Imus bad boy type, but can't really pull it off if he is the champion of conservative values.

yesterday,April 21st, 2014 , this "thing" proposed a link between possession of marijuana ,marijuana use and Adolph Hitler. It is hard to believe that this WHATEVER IT IS can be of the human species. This MUST be a certified E.T. refugee from Planet Moron.
 
I think that has to do with the fact that 4/20 is Hitler's birthday & a day potheads claim as their day. Something akin to this was done in an episode of C.S.I.: Miami.
