Taylor Swift - done at country?

She grew up outside of Reading, PA. I know people that grew up with her and went to high school with her. She wasn't nice at all so that would make sense that she didn't have any friends.

I once heard the same thing said about Alan Jackson, that he isn't nice, but I heard that his being so shy was the reason why he may sometimes come across as something else in the opinion of of other people.

Before "Car Talk" this past Sunday I had NPR on and they were interviewing Tim McGraw.

It's curious they said he would never go pop, because "Live Like You Were Dying" still gets played on AC radio.

But he did a duet with Taylor which was played, and when she sings, it just sounds right at home on Hot AC radio, or on AC radio as it is defined today. He sounds country.

He has said many times there's no way you can make his voice sound pop. Like Larry The Cable Guy. He always sounds like he's from the country. If anything, other formats are crossing over to country. All of a sudden, it's OK to wear a cowboy hat. Even Johnny Cash couldn't do it.
