Stljohn, I signed up for this forum and will probably never post again. I just want to tell you how far out of line you are.
You're not telling us anything new there, tough guy. We know that it's an athletic exhibition. We also know that when we see Will Smith save the world in "Independence Day," it's a movie that's fake, scripted, choreographed, whatever. Your insults are base and uninformed. And you spelled "sophomoric" wrong. Atta guy. I love your feeble attempts to sound intelligent...attempts at which you fail. Miserably. Keep up the good work, slugger.
I am a 25-year old male. I'm a teacher. With a Master's degree. I played NCAA baseball. I am a dedicated weightlifter and a trained professional wrestler. I tell you this because
a) I'm smarter than you and
b) I am assuredly in superior physical shape. I have never touched a steroid in my life, so don't try that route.
You have obviously never watched wrestling. Fine. So don't spout your rhetoric about something with which you're not even remotely accustomed. They are professoinal athletes, just as much so as any baseball, football, hockey, basketball or tennis player. Most of the workers have tremendous, decorated backgrounds in other sports...not just football. I could go on and on about the merits and athletic exploits, which, I'm sure, far outweigh anything you've done. There isn't an off-season in wrestling, and there's nothing fake about the physicality in the ring.
Are the endings pre-determined? Sure! But that's the nature of the entertainment. We make no bones about it, we know that they know what's going to happen, and often, we can predict it. You might not respect it, and that's fine. But really, no one cares what you think. So please keep your opinions, your insults and your mediocre attempts at adopting an informed, condescending tone to yourself. Thanks.
