Poor Larry Wells . . . . The 1 O'Clock top of the hour sweep was just sheer Hell for him. 5 seconds of a tune would play and then DEAD AIR (omg). This repeated 3 or 4 times until the situation apparently was corrected. If I'm not mistaken, DRC-FM runs all of their program content from hard drives. Can anyone verify??Regards,DJ Jim Wayne

Technical Issues at DRC-FM

A couple of months ago, I heard two spins of Stevie Wonder's "If You Really Love Me" that ended abruptly just before the final verse. Several agonizing seconds of dead air each time before (the first time) the next scheduled song and (the second time) a commercial. I guess the jock it happened to the first time didn't leave a note about it, so it happened at least once more. Between the on again, off again audio quality it's little surprise that their automation system isn't the most stable thing on the block. I pity the poor airstaff who must have to put up with that junk. I guess Buckley either doesn't have decent engineering staff for their Connecticut cluster or the guys are spending too much time on maintaining the AM's.FWIW: On the AM web site there's a posting seeking air talent for DRC-FM.

Maybe, but the posting was there in spite of of the fact Mike was already back for awhile.
