Was sad to learn of the passing of Ted Mckay on Dec. 22. I enjoyed listening to his show when I was a teen in 1967,68. His commercials for meir Ovadia's Upper Krust restaurant could make you hungry by his describing the available sandwiches, I also recall hi commercials for Klein on Vine used cars. I consider Mr. McKay to have been one of the legends of Cincinnati radio, and there are not many left. We need to enjoy the likes of Gary Burbank, Jim LaBarbara, Jim Scott, and others while they are still around, for I fear based on the current state of radio, the "personality" aspect of radio will not be with us much longer.
