Sonic Al, it was Captain Jack Farrell, the show was "Sports of Call" I worked with Jack at 890 when it was WBPS, affiliated with Prime Sports and was owned by Douglas Broadcasting.
He had a sidekick, named Rocketman, nice guys, they went on to 1510, after that I lost them, don't know anything more.
As for Ted, he's too dry and I know that if you're going to have a local night time sports show it needs to be hardcore sports because that's who'll be listening at that time of night but Ted is just very very bland and dry.
If anything he's being brought on because they don't want Network programming on at that time, he's a name and the alternative is Mike Adams which hardly qualifies as a sports show, well to the hardcore sports guys who listen to sports radio at night at least.
