You have to have at least 5,000 watts on AM or a full 100,000 watt class C FM on a tall stick to cover that kind of real estate.

Bordercaster said:True, but Arbitron just ranks McAllen-Brownsville as a Market... Rio Grande City does not generate any difference in the ratings.

KXTN is owned by Univision Radio and KSAB is owned by Clear Channel.

I stand corrected. Univision did sell it's Corpus Christi radio holdings to Clear Channel... but CC was smart not to change the KXTN-style programming on KSAB.

KRIO-AM/KOIR-FM
KRGV-AM/KBIC-FM
KUBR-AM
KVMV-FM
KBNR-FM
KLUJ-TV
An assortment of FM and TV translators
And I think a couple of the Mexican stations broker time to religious broadcasters.

fredcantu said:You haven't been to the Valley lately. Farmland has been replaced by new developments. Nothin but stores along the freeway from Mission to the new Premiere Outlets in Mercedes and then tons more stores in Harlingen and Brownsville. There's even a new Bass Pro Superstore going in. There is a lot of money in the Valley.
