Several Raleigh dealers do this well.
Do you mean to say "Several RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAWWWWWWWWWWWLEIGHHH dealers do this well"? :D
;D ;D

God, You aren't Bob Farrington on the North Carolina News Network in RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAWWWWWWLEIGH are ya!!!!

IMO the best car ads on the radio in the triangle are the ones for Fred Anderson Toyota. Consistent, so you know when you're hearing one. Loud enough to grab your attention when it's on, but low key and filled with enough information so as not to insult the listener.

They've been doing the ones with the male/female announcer combo for several years now.

As bad as Hogwood's spots are, Carolina Kia is selling a ton of cars! It ain't about art - it is about commerce!
I like Mike Hogewood on these commercials. I think what WFMY did to him was terrible, although I don't even follow sports.

Enlighten me, I know Mike, but haven't seen him in years ...QWhat Happened at 2???

I like the Mike Hogwood commercials too! I don't think they're terrible. Great branding!

We're waiting.....Don't start something ya can't finish..

Sheridan probably remembers the WFTV Channel 9 spots in Orlando back in the 60's and 70's for Art Grindle Dodge..Now this guy was a character..He would absolutly destroy a car with a sledge hammer on TV..and his famous line...."I Want to sell you a car!!! and he did..But they were awful.

Guys, I know you are waiting for the Hogwood story, but I am afraid you will be sorely disappointed. It is not as sinister as "vchimp" makes it sound.

Basically, after years of working at Channel 2, they let him go! I suspect he made too much money, some consultant didn't like his looks, who really knows.

Hog has done rather well for himself since, working on ACC sports, some NASCAR coverage, and of course the Carolina Kia commercials.

I also heard Hog saw the writing on the wall for what tv news was becoming (no loyalty to anchors, run by 22yo interns, etc) and went to Raycom before WFMY made the choice for him. Bully for that guy!
