Terry King out at KVIL

Terry King is now working at 97.5 KLAK. He does the midday slot ... 9am to 2pm. Check out: 975klak.com

Sooooo...does that mean former KLAK mid-day personality Maria Miller got the Ops Manager job at Traffic.com? Announcement's supposed to come late this week.

Terry, bless his heart. Glad to hear he's working, but he's back in KIK'M Country again. At least he knows the area and he's got some audience that grew up with him on 910AM, but he sure belongs on a full stick in DFW again.

I hear Maria yesterday afternoon on KLAK traffic.

Is Terry live or VT? I was hoping to catch him and tuned in to the stream at 9:18am - now 9:54am and not one jock talk. He is showing as on air on the webpage. There was one badly glitched liner that made me think automation.

anyone know?

I would just like to say a big THANK YOU ALL for helping me find Terry King!! I have looked for him everywhere since last Christmas! He was, and is, my very favorite DJ. It broke my heart when he got the boot from KVIL, (and needless to say, I haven't listened to one of their programs since). No one has the joy, enthusiasm and love for others even in his voice, let alone in all the public service things that he does, than Terry! And then today, I was browsing, looking for him again, and found this board and lo and behold, there was Terry's new home! I immediately tried to call him, but he had already left the station for the afternoon, so will try tomorrow. Again, thank you all so much for helping me find my radio "friend"!

Terry is also the image voice of KEOM.

Don't get me wrong, I like Terry, but sometimes he can be a little too corny, even when he was on KVIL.

I cannot stand country music, so I doubt I'll be listening to him on this frequency, but I wish him all the best. He seems like a really nice guy.

COUNTRY? Unless something drastic has changed in the last few days, K-Lake is Adult Contemporary; kind of a KVIL with a slightly different playlist. Definitely a compatible audience.

Nah, "corny" is the "new" humor these days. Hal Jay's laughed all the way to the bank with it for years! For the slightly younger folks, the "corny" stuff is brand new to them...and it's nice to take a break sometimes from the potty mouth, shock value "humor," too.
