Texarkana Ratings?

ah....the real truth finally comes out. I was waiting for you to realize just what radio...and those that service the industry really are. Now we can all stop pretending. We've all sold our souls...and the soul of radio...for the price of turning a trick. Some of us are just higher paid hookers than others.

Waiting 4 me 2 realize? :D LMAO :D chit man, I could have told you that in 1967.
And, we prefer the term "calljock".

Even with the Texarkana area, which I've been around on and off since 1980, there has been alot of changes here. In 1980, we still played records on the air....try to find one in a studio now. There were less signals here so the pickings were much easier.
And....things change. Where there was once an overnight jock, in most cases now it's the computer you hear when you get to the station to do your morning shift.
I was on the air here in 1980 and I'm here now. At least that hasn't changed.

Have a good day!

ROFLMAO.. You just not figuring that out??????

I do agree that there is a major lack of creativity in radio right now. But I wouldn't call going against the charts and making your own hits creative.. I'd call that suicidal..

You're very much correct. The Fix staff worked very hard for every bit of that number. Hats off to KTOY as well. They both have an incredible staff.

"THE MONSTER...(CLEAR CHANNEL)"

Just wondering -- have you ever worked for CC?

Just because Clear Channel owns the stations doesn't mean that their LOCAL staff doesn't work equally as hard as those employees who work for other groups..

I have to agree on that one. WE all work hard. Yes, there are good points and bad points about being owned by a private company or by CC...but it's still ALL just radio. I think we all forget sometimes that radio should be fun. We are some of the luckiest folks in the world to work in an industry that is not only our job but our hobby and love as well. Hey, it's bets digging ditches for a living. ;)

I'll agree with that. I once worked with a very well known consultant who pointed out to us at a meeting how lucky we are with the job we have in the radio business.

No, I'm far from rich but it has paid the bills for over 25 years for me.
I still love my job, wherever I do it and with the help of U-Haul & Ryder, I've done it alot of places!!
