Texas analog shutdowns on Thursday, 4/16

Point conceded on KETH/KHCE/KITU/KLUJ. These are TBN's only non-comm stations vs. 28 comm. stations. Still, they should not be running content inconsistent with their non-comm. licenses.

KSCE is not a TBN affiliate.

WTCE and WJEB in Florida are also non-commercial, but since this is the Texas forum, I didn't mention them.

Didn't get to see the signoff last night, but confirmed KDTX analog is gone today.

I have a little ritual I go through after every new analog shutoff. My living-room TV lets you add analog channels, and you can set it to skip unwanted channels when surfing, but it doesn't let you delete them. To do that I have to perform a fresh scan.

So, every time an analog station goes off the air, I do a fresh scan - just to see the list shrink a little more.

Next scan will be in 2 weeks, when KDTN 2 shuts down.

I heard a rumor going around about KDTN 2 saying this..."We will never shut off our analog signal and just keep it going and going on forever as a LP station." Imagine.. "KDTN-LP"
