Sorry to hear the bad news. You will be missed!
Thank you J-D for your service. I feel lost not having your show to listen to. I listen to most of the programming at KLIF and your's was my favorite. I especially liked how you covered local issues. That's not something easy to find. Hope you are on air soon. God bless.

Sorry to hear of the demise of your show, JD! But I've known you for over a decade, and I know you'll land on your feet. WFTL just lost Jeff Katz in afternoons...opening there, maybe...best to you!

I do not know how on earth KLIF could have let you go, no matter what the circumstances. I listened to your show every day on my way home from work (when not on my motorcycle, anyway). I was a regular called and avid listener and I feel a true sense of loss now that you are no longer on the air. I didn't just think of you as some voice on the radio, but as a neighbor and friend of the community. I surely hope that you will remain in the DFW area. It wasn't until this morning that I realized how hard your leaving the station hit as I am little able to write this post without crying. This is a sad, sad day for fans of conservative talk radio. You will be missed more than you know. I learned so much from you and your show.
Where ever you may go, please keep doing what you are doing because you do it so well.

Jon-David, I have called your show at least once, and though I talked to Jeff twice as many times (2), I never saw him broadcast on Justin TV, so you beat him! When Ankarlo and Knapp "left" I thought I'd have to find a new station, and KSKY wasn't on the format yet. However, I reluctantly listened to you and Jeff, and you turned out not to be the namby-pamby moderates I was afraid of- you turned me onto the Tea Party movement and getting involved rather than just sitting on the sidelines.
The last time you broadcast from StarPower, I was planning to go shake your hand for the way you handled the Beck-Medina beesnest, and tell you that I really appreciate you speaking the truth as you saw it, in spite of your and your station's relationship with Glenn Beck (of whom I am a former fan). I didn't get to go, but I consoled myself with the knowledge that I would get another chance. WELL, WHAT ABOUT IT?
I personally feel like KLIF is jerking the public's chain yet again. They can't even put a note on the website or an announcement on air, even if it's a lie, to smooth things over? Right now I'm in turmoil because the nation is in turmoil, and we are in serious danger of losing the fight for our hard-won liberty. Your disappearance from the station and the erasure of your show as if it never existed really pisses me off! I can't imagine any circumstance whatsoever in which KLIF thinks this is a good thing, unless Big Money is coming after them.
Well, my brother, I pray I'll hear your voice again on the dial, and see your teddy-bear head in the near future! In the meantime, as your caller Glenn says, "keep it outta the ditch, Hoss!"

It's really a bad news the withdraw of "The Wells Report" from KLIF. I discovered Jon-David Wells on Internet, searching for Texas radio stations when I wanted to visit Texas and to know in advance people and life there was like.
The Jon-David's way of doing radio, quite different of the Spain's radio, quickly caught me. And almost every night, at 11:00 PM I used to turn on my computer and listening to The Wells Report. (11:00 PM it's the time in Madrid, Spain, when in Texas is 16:00 PM). The Wells Report was for me a kind of "late night radio show".
And now all this is over. I hope Jon-David to come back again with his "The Wells Report" in a radio station that really know how to appreciate the special touch of Mr Wells (and be able to broadcast on Internet).

Truth In Broadcasting takes a back seat to incompetence. I live in Atlanta so almost every day, at 5:00 PM I turned on my computer and listened to The Wells Report.

Yep. So much for KLIF in the afternoons. (Even though JDW never responded once to a single email I sent over the past couple of years.) I loved the local topics, like when he would have on Chris Schein from TXU defending "smart meters" or Tim O'hare the anti-immigrant Farmers Branch mayor (I live in FB). Back to KLIF only for a few hours on Sat mornings listening to Ed Wallace.

Jon? Who's going to keep me so well informed on local events? I have to seriously question this new direction KLIF is going in if they sent you in a "different" direction.

I have personally called WBAP, KSKY and KRLD and told them WE WANT THE WELLS REPORT BACK! In protest of KLIF taking off The Wells Report, I have made a decision to tune OUT KLIF in the afternoons and absolutely REFUSE to listen to Chris Krock. I would encourage all of the fans of The Wells Report to make their voices heard and call these stations...ask to speak to the Program Director. If you get a voice mail, leave a message, tell them what you want, give your name and number!!

JD, was furious to hear you were gone from KLIF last week. The fellas who have been on during your time slot just don't do it for me. I'm mainly a listener to talk radio but have called in to you a couple of times recently.....you were my first, & now my only!
By today I missed you so much that I broke down & got on the old 'puter & searched to see if I could find out what happened to you & ended up in this forum. Then I had to register at this place, etc to post. So I'm here b/c of you. Don't have much time to spend at these forums but I just had to say something today.
I don't think I can listen to the guy they are bringing in so let us know where you end up. Thanks for being there for me in the afternoons.
