That didn't last long.

Wow, Mark and Mo weren't on long enough to build a following here. I've said it before, they might as well put The Project on 102.7.

This really blows. I love radio, but reading this really ticks me off....they didn't even get a chance to build a following. When does the WLW simulcast begin?

You talk about being impatient. You have to give this kind of thing a little time. Man, I would blame the PPM but, hasn't Cincinnati been a continuous measurement market for years? Meaning that monthly numbers are nothing new, here.

WEBN 4-month rating trend: 2.7, 3.4, 3.6, 3.8 so I don't understand the issue if the numbers were going up.

Unless they weren't doing well in a certain demo 'EBN looks at.

It's the CC way. They did the same to Doc Thompson at WLW. If the morning ratings were going back up then there must be a big change in the future. WLW FM would not be a shocker at all especially if their revenue has decreased along with the ratings.

And now, CBS is changing formats in Detroit. I wonder if they'll keep him when they flip to sport.

CC is moving away from Rock formats. Look at what happened in Atlanta earlier this month. CC flipped a once legendary AOR station 96Rock which later became Planet 96.1 to CHR/Rhythmic as Power 96.1. Heavy Metal is not very likely at all.

It was actually called Project 9-6-1.

I sort of agree with you, in that it would be strange for WEBN to go an entire week without playing Jimi Hendrix. Money or no money, I just don't see them as WLW. Aren't Rock shows in the morning a dime a dozen anyway?

Kiss 107 is going with syndicated show now in the mornings, look for WEBN to do the same.

This comes above the local level. Keep cutting costs no matter what the revenue stream may be. When bean counters own you (i.e. Bain Capital, et al) they tend to whack until they sell it and right now no one is going to sell (or buy)...

Say what you want about WLW, but it as least live and local (for the most part).

I'm not surprised they didn't go with Elvis Duran instead of Kane piped in from DC. I am also wondering why they didn't do this months ago instead of bringing in local morning shows who corporate knew they were going to slash 7 months later. Oh well at least Bob Pittman can keep his private jet. LOL. WLW has to be next on the chopping block.

Who would that Be? Free Beer and Hot Wings? B 92.1 down in Lexington KY runs their show. They sound too much like Bob and Tom though.

It's the last thing in the world I would want, but what about heavy metal? You know, like Z Rock back in 90-91.
Did Z Rock qualify as heavy metal or was it just active rock with lots of hairbands? I liked Z Rock, but I was in my 30's then.

Wikipedia article about Z-Rock. It was a syndicated network. 96.5 WZRZ was the Cincinnati affiliate (WZRQ at first but Q102 had an issue with it, as their call letters were WKRQ).
