The 3 Little Pigs

OK, that's not a fairy tale, that's a horror story. Way too grim and without optimism. I know there's truth here, but I don't think it's going to happen tomorrow. Just as the Internet is killing the newspaper, the "machine" may eventually kill radio....that is if the big mega-corporations don't do it first.

It's only grim, horrific and pessimistic if you're looking at the traditional radio side of it. If you're looking at the Internet radio side of it, it makes you jump for joy! The Big Boys™ have already destroyed themselves, they just don't know it yet.

But really, you should be glad about this for one reason: the listeners will be better off. The listeners are the reason radio exists to begin with, and if we can better serve them in a way other than through AM and FM broadcasts, that's a good thing.

But the wolf couldn't do anything because he was trying desperately to keep from being eaten by the more powerful Eagle.

Fortunately, a cold front is coming through and atmospheric conditions should return to normal.

"The Eagle" Didn't the Big Bad Wolf try that one time in WS-GSO Once? Who was that KZL? Methinks?

Oh, sorry. Where I live sometimes The Wolf gets interference from Eagle 92.9 in Dillon, S. C.
OK Something ain't right here either! How is the Hell could the Wolf in WS get interference from Dillon, SC and being nowhere close in hertz? I think some of the "Diploma Mill" First Phone engineers are tripping still back from the 60's APE!

I live far enough south for it to happen sometimes.

They are on adjacent channels, so it can happen in the fringe areas.

I have the same problem with 101.1 and something I have not been able to identify in parts of Winston-Salem and up 421 near Yadkinville and Wilkesboro
.

100.9 WIFM Elkin, NC

Now last night I couldn't pick up The Eagle at all.

I tried WZTK in Winston-Salem and had no problem with it. It's WIFM I had trouble with. So much for the unlikely pairing of WIFM and WIST.

IFM could have simply been down for maintenance! Happens a lot on Sunday evening.
No, I was referring to when I was in Winston-Salem. That would have been during the day sometime, and it was months ago when I tried it.
