It's pathetic that we have all of these Right-Winged Blow Hards on the air, and we can't get any Progressive Talk in this top ten market.
Ever heard of NPR? or KPFT? I'd like to see what you had to say if government supported radio had conservative programming instead of the extreme left propaganda it currently broadcasts.

Ever listen to NPR? Here's a hint: Cokie Roberts does commentary there now. With all due respect to those who work there, do you really think they're going to say anything that offends the big businesses that sponsor them? Funding for this newscast came from Anadarko Petroleum and Halliburton... You're just as likely to hear McCain repeating talking points without being challenged on them on NPR News as on any other network.

I'd seriously doubt that KPFT gets much (if any) funding from the CPB (Corporation for Public Broadcasting). Pacifica is just too screwy. I'm a Democrat and I think KPFT is a bunch of nutjobs.

Seriously, you guys have 3 of 4 major networks, All major newspapers, the Associated Press, most of the music, movie, & art communities, 90% of college acadamia, Gwen Ifill, Oprah, The View, Comedy Central, PBS, and Letterman.

And from my view on the left, you have Katie Couric, Tom Brokaw, Charlie Gibson, Brian Williams, the puppets on Fox, CNN, All major newspapers (because they subsist on copy from the Associated Press, where the AP stands for Accuracy Problem), all talk radio in this town, and Jay Leno. I can count on my hand the number of times I've watched PBS in the last 10 years, so I can't comment on them.

What do we get? Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. That's about it.

Disclaimer: I can't take credit for Accuracy Problem; I ripped that line off from Don Henley.

... Ha! Speaking of my "best friends who think I'm full of it!" Hey, Dude.

Are you serious? Katie, Tom, Charlie, Brian, CNN, Newspapers? You think these guys are right-wing kook redneck fascist kind of guys? That's hilarious.... my guys think they're left-wing freak hippie commie kind of guys? You're right about AM radio, but you guys get Madonna, Rosie O'Donnell, and Bette Midler. And Springsteen! C'mon thats a fair trade.

As for Associated Press, I agree with you they're pretty much USELESS. Lets all unite together and burn the AP.

Anyway, come over to the house and argue politics over some beer, when you get a spare minute. No, better yet, I think you have some much more interesting stuff for me about now, haha. Hopefully its all good stuff, but if not, you know my house is just around the corner from all the bad places. Not that we're going there either, but its good to know we're not wasting our money.
