The backlash against ABC has begun

"I consider just about everything else to be beneath me."

Even the intellectually-stimulating programming on PBS and AJE?

Boy, that says a lot right there...

Mostly the news and Around the Horn in ESPN. I consider just about everything else as beneath me.

I generally don't comment on any subject or program that: 1) I don't watch; 2) I have never watched; or 3) does not interest me at all.

Perhaps you should try this strategy. Save your energy and posts for something you do care about. Thanks.

And yet adding to topics on programs deemed beneath you somehow isn't beneath you.

It sounds like you probably think most of us on this board are "beneath you," so why do you waste your time here, other than to show how much of a TV snob you are? You should just dump or sell your TV and sit in the dark. :p

Sorry to upset you all. However, I am amazed that people can park in front of the tv and watch the wretched junk coming at you all evening.

Personally, I agree with you there is a ton of "wretched junk" on TV right now. But then again, people have been criticizing the medium virtually since its inception. That isn't the issue though. The comments directed at you were because you have a habit of dumping a one-liner that "I don't watch <insert name of program here>, which many other people also do including me, but you never give a reason why. If you feel the "junk" is "beneath you" and you wish your comments taken seriously then provide some sort of criticism that explains why. Otherwise you just seem to be ranting into the wind and you will generate the comments you've seen to date.

[/end helpful criticism]

To my knowledge, Chicago is the only dual affiliation market for Dr. Phil, with his show on WCIU 26.1 at 9am, then again on WBBM-TV at 3pm.
I think Charlotte has him on WSOC-TV in the afternoon with reruns at night on co-owned WAXN. I know they did that with Oprah.
