770 hangs on to #1 12 +..KKSS a cloooose second..and LaJefa 3rd.

Wow , first prediction (by a hair....not a hare) to materialize, since I started reading this board a year ago. Also, why is everything disappearing around here all of a sudden ?

Tonight last episode of "John From Cinncinatti". HBO ............ "The End Is Near"....."No Parrot Talk"

Pal Al Wannabe

It certainly was close. But KKOB will be a tough nut to crack.
It will be interesting to watch how KKSS does in coming months.
I'm not a hip-hop knowlegdable type..but it seems the music has
softened over the past months..leaning I'm guessing more female.

Keep in mind Dana and Kandee are now back locally..that will be a factor.

KOB-FM..sounds very good in my opinion. Not sure why they're not higher.

La Jefa was a surprise. Piolin is that strong!

La ley also shot up out of nowhere.

All in all a battle shaping up for the top spots.

I must salute ED FM as they grew the Most this book up over 12,000 new Ed Lovers!
The Winners in Cume
Others up Kiss (7,000) My station JOY AM (6,000) Coyote (5,000) KTBL (8,000) The Beat (8,000) The Peak (4,000) and MY Station Real Oldies (3,600)
The Losers in Cume
Lobo Down (11,000) KABG Down (9,000)KRZY Down (9,000) KAGM Down (9,000)KNML Down (9,000) KHFM Down (8,000) Buzzard Down (7,000)

Just a Little FYI for The Duke City Radio Folks

KKOB won't be up there forever, look at the record spring ratings for liberal talk KABQ 1350. The income disparity between the rich and the poor is significant in Albuquerque survey area, and inflated conservative talk numbers eventually will crumble under such circumstances. And, there's a rapid influx of more progressive minded individuals coming from the West Coast. KKOB numbers will likely be in the 5's in 2 years with other talk stations competing, both conservative and liberal.

While in the Citadel world - ED did have a big book. KRST looks to solidly have the upper hand on KBQI.
KKOB-FM seems to have taken a pretty big hit. But, what the heck happened to KMGA. Those have to be the lowest numbers in years.

Double C, why do you always point out AGM's faults? There are other stations besides the forementioned stations that went down in cume. AGM has grown the most in the last 5-7 years in REVENUE versus any other group, period! Hey, the KAGM project bombed! But at the same time, who would have thought they could have recruited the type of talent we all thought would succeed on a newstalk FM. Stop baggin on AGM, they have great people without the resources or heritage the other groups have. I give props to AGM because I look at progress over time...growth is the sign of a great radio group! AGM is the group that has grown the most. Do you agree?

Mr.No Name
All I did was List in order the Biggest Gainers and Biggest Loser, those are the facts!
I debated on listing the biggest losers but thought it would give those who can't see past the 12+#'S A Chance to see whats happeing here. I listed 8 stations 4 were AGM and 4 were not & those were the top 8 and those are just the facts plain & simple.

Please quote the part of my last post that was "Bagin on AGM"..........Ah you can not because there is NONE!

I guess in your world if I report the Final Score Cowboys 21 Raiders 7
I would be bagin on the Raiders.

Everyone in this market works hard at putting the best product out including AGM. I have friends at every radio group here in town and I wish them all the best of luck. I met scooter once and he seemed like a nice hard working guy and I wished him all the best. Rest assured if in the next book AGM does well I will point that out Like I did with ED FM. I found it interesting to note that ED FM had the most TV ads during the book and gained the most cume lets see if they can hold on to it. KAGM was able to offset their drop in cume by keeping their TSL strong so kudos to them, now I must also note that My station JOY AM had the highest TSL of any english station in the market.

OMG ART CARLSON watch out somebody might think your bagin on KBQI
ARELENE #1 Cumer is KOB AM followed by I believe KRST and KOB FM

BTW I recomend the movie Talk To Me, its about 60's DJ in DC Petey Greene.

Now Good Luck to All in the Fall Book and YES Mr.No Name that Includes AGM.

As far as AGM growing I was there from day 1 when AGM went in the 3 & 1/2 years I was there from 2 stations to 5 and from zero billing to a couple of million. When I
ran into Mr.Hutton back in 2005 I congratulated him on how well AGM had grown under his direction and how proud I was for him and the Brandons and I wished him continued success....Now Good Night and Good Luck

I may have been bangin' on BQI. They are getting beat on by KRST and now they bag their afternoons.
So the KBQI 1) programming KSYU 2) v/t midday on KSYU 3) now afternoons on KBQI and 4) in his spare time programming KBQI. Not baggin on him, that is just a recipe for disaster. Good guy, too much going on.

As far as cummers, KKOB-FM had been way out in front. KKOB-AM was second and KKSS third. I hadn't heard the specifics of Spring. My guess is KKOB-FM is way off their previous cume number.

CC, congrats, you've done good things with the two AM's.

Frank - gotta say, the AGM faults pretty much point themselves out. The only solid revenue stream (Lobo) is soon to take a backseat in the spanish language race. Big Oldies isn't in the 25-54 race and the billing shows it. 106.3 is just a mess. Has been. Nothing else there. They are distantly the #4 player in the market and don't have the leadership to even knock on the #3 door.

They could soon even drop a postion. If someone grabs the two stations out of trust (KIOT and KBZU) and a CC spin-off, that cluster could very well slip into the #4 spot behind Citadel, CC and Univision. And, no one will every catch Citadel as they have been 10-15% ahead of the market for years, and years, and years and even a few more years.

That should read 'So the KBQI PD is 1)'. It was late and I ommited a word or two ::)

Its just a lot to tackle. Has there been another PD in the market to pull airshifts on two stations he/she was programming in ABQ? Programming multiple stations I understand. Programming them and doing airshift on multiple stations is just a recipe for disaster (or a mental breakdown for the PD).

Art, get a clue...AGM is third in revenue and has been for a long time. Guess you need to check you facts. Again, people on this board must be part timers and can't access good info. Have a nice day!

Citadel takes 45+%. CC takes @1/3. No matter if Univision or AGM is next, both are getting squat.
If they are third, its still a laughable beating.

Art, see this is where you don't understand this business. Citadel is in for 100 million...if they sold today, they would get less than 100 million...therefore they haven't performed well. Clear Channel bought Trumper for 65 million, if they sold today, they would not get 65 million. AGM on the other hand moved signals in from SF for 10 million. If they sold today they would get 30 million...a 300% ROI....oh in business and money terms that's "Return on Investment", a term you obviously don't know about.

I would take the AGM deal over the others every day of the week. Wake up Art, you don't understand money I guess.

So is AGM for sale? Otherwise, your argument makes no sense.
