I think that Comcast should be made to sell CSN-Philly to DirecTv. I suggest that all PA, NJ, and DE residents that have DirecTv call their Senators in Washington and demand that the FCC closes the loophole.
Julius, could you e-mail all 6 Senators to ask why Comcast doesn't sell CSN to DirecTv? Forget healthcare, the Senate should fix the loophole. How about asking the new Dem controlled FCC the same thing. While your at it, ask them to fix the reception problem with channel 6 so that we can get all the WPVI weather hotties in HD ota before they move into the new bldg. They could just add more UHF stations back. It's the government, they can do anything they want. Just keep e-mailing Congress until they fix all these problems.
Concerning the overflow games on CN8, or whatever it is called now, how about making the overflow games available to Verizon so that they can carry it on their own local station or just have an overflow channel of their own. How about FiOS8? Move WGN somewhere else. Up in Boston, NESN carries Sox and Bruins. When both are playing, one team is on NESN+ which is carried on Comcast, Verizon, and DirecTV. It only turns on (I have it on DirecTv channel 629) when 2 game are on at the same time. It is right next to NESN, channel 628 and CSN-NE, channel 630.
It is amazing that I can get CSN-NE on DirecTv but not CSN-Philly. It really amazes me that the FCC doesn't care but, when Fox bought all the SportsChannels and then their parent company News Corp went and bought a controlling interest in DirecTv, the FCC was concerned that Fox and News Corp would with hold the regional FSN channels from cable companies.
