The CW 2025-26 season thread

Surprised to see Yogi's First Christmas is airing on The CW this year. If I had to guess they will air it with a TVG rating to avoid FCC Commercial Limits. I can't remember if MeTV Toons aired it with a TVY or TVG rating last year.

Also reading through this Press Release, I wonder what is "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas"? Is that a knock off to the Dr. Seuss movie or did they get the title wrong for the 2000 "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" movie.

I read the press release and did not see "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas"
I am thinking Coat of Many Colors will do well for CW. It always did good on NBC. I remember the first airing got 13 million viewers.

It's under " special BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER!" Also, misread it and thought it was a list of Christmas movies they were going air, but it's actually Christmas movies that special is going to talk about.
That feeling when you lead off with Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer as your attention grabber in the fist paragraph….and it only goes downhill from there. 😉😉😉
At least until you get to near the bottom and see Yogi's First Christmas. That one stands out amongst the rest.

The CW aired 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' for a few years the day before Thanksgiving. I was hoping the new owners might re-establish that. Maybe next year.

The CW mid season schedule is here. Not much but Wild Cards returns.
The CW had been rerunning season two of Wild Cards recently, which was a strong indicator that season three would be picked up. Guess they will wait to greenlight season four, which is a go on CBC in Canada.

Looks like The CW won’t be airing season two of Sight Unseen, which aired early this year on CTV. Not available elsewhere in the U.S., though The CW had supposedly picked up both seasons.
