Also ESPN.If they think the cw is in trouble now golf isn't going to help. Nobody is going to watch golf on the cw when they have nbc and the golf Channel that people already watch. The cw will be dead in a few years instead of thriving as Nexstar said when they took over last fall.
I agree with your use of the word bizarre. I don't know much about the demographics of the people who watch golf, but I don't imagine that young adults who watch shows like The Flash and Riverdale would do so. Yes, I know that those two shows are not in Nexstar's long-term plans for The CW. I'm just pointing out how extreme this move is.If they think they can make this bizarre alliance work, good luck with that.
I agree. But this is Nexstar and they’re also desperate to make The CW, NewsNation, and Antenna TV household names. Guess we’ll have to see what happens and one has to wonder if they will pursue the major sports organizations, including the collegiate leagues. The CW Network has sold their soul to the Devil!
Many of the Division I/FBS conferences have at least streaming deals already. Do the least prominent of those exit ESPN+, which depends on paid subscriptions for revenue but is available anywhere in the US that has high-speed internet, and sign up with The CW, which, though it's free over the air, isn't even in some markets? Would anyone watch Austin Peay, Central Connecticut or Utah Valley, and would national advertisers support the telecasts?I agree. But this is Nexstar and they’re also desperate to make The CW, NewsNation, and Antenna TV household names. Guess we’ll have to see what happens and one has to wonder if they will pursue the major sports organizations, including the collegiate leagues.
The CW isn't going anywhere. That said, it isn't going to get NFL game rights anytime soon either (Though it could still get rights to such things as the Combine, the Draft & certain NFL Network produced shows however)If they think the cw is in trouble now golf isn't going to help. Nobody is going to watch golf on the cw when they have nbc and the golf Channel that people already watch. But The CW isn't going anywhere eitherthe glory days of UPN and the WB aren't coming back
True. But you never know what Nexstar is planning. They just need shows and programs that can get viewers noticed and be a more serious player. But The CW isn't going anywhere either
It sure isn't. Some of their programs are so dead in the ratings there's a chalk line around them in the TV listings. But The CW isn't going anywhere either
