The end is near, KRDY.

I say it's a 50/50 chance of either format. Business talk will do well. It all depends on where the listeners are, if they are on the Northside it will go business talk. Westover Hills, Downtown, and Medical Center would be where a majority of the listeners would listen and support the station. If it is to serve the Southside, it will go Spanish Christian Talk. I think it will be business talk because it does come in well by the Airport. Another fact to consider the primary language spoken in San Antonio among most Hispanics is English then Spanish, in Houston it's a reversal of the two. One other fact to consider is if KSAH-AM flips to an English format (due to the BMP sale) Business Talk would do well on KRDY-AM.

To Salem, the issue isn't ratings. It's money. The religious programs, whether in English or Spanish, pay for their airtime in advance. If they can get enough of the rent-a-preachers to pay to be on in San Antonio, that's what they'll do. If not, there's a good chance they'll do business talk. Of course, Salem could have something else up its sleeve entirely, though I'm at a loss as to what that could be.
