Maybe he can find someone in Victoria to do a show with-I hear that woman beating, gun flashing, and tax owing are big there. This is what happens when you surround yourself with "yes" men-you know no limits. Adios Russ-it's a good thing your show stopped being good about 18 months ago or I might be upset at losing you.

How can Trey believe such nonsense and then come on a public forum and repeat it? He never struck me as stupid. But, I guess when your hero tells you a lie, you just make yourself believe it. It was bad enough hearing on the news, but reading this has literally made me sick to my stomach. I have removed 105.3 from my pre-sets and sent the following email to Gavin and David Henry
I have been a faithful listener for several years.I started listening to Russ, later got hooked on Pugs and Kelly and last year started listening to Jagger's show. I enjoy having one station that I put my radio on at the start of my day and not having to switch channels during the day.
In the past year, I have really gotton burned out on the same old bits on Russ's show and usually switch to the Ticket when he comes on. This comes from a non-sports fan.
I have been disappointed with the recent "disappearance" of Pugs and Kelly, but still intented to listen to continue to listen to Jagger. Today listening to Jagger, I was sickening every commerial that had his voice on it. Now, with the disclosure on the evening news about the sickening details of the assault against his girlfriend, I will never listen to a station that has ANY association with Russ Martin.
I survive a domestic assault and will not tolerate this and have sent out emails to my friends, support groups and associates at the woman's shelter that assisted me.
It sickens me even further that this is being blown off as a bit by the dieheart russ fans...I don't find any humor in this. This man represents everything wrong in our society and I may only be one listener but I will be vocal in talking to others about this sick situation. I have also given my business to several of your advertisers, but those companies will never get any further business from me.

Oh he will. But he'll probably plead guilty in exchange for lighter punishment.
Of course he won't. He's rich, and this is America. He will plea down to something silly, pay a fine, get probation, be ordered to anger managment classes and some sort of alcohol treatment, and do some sort of menial community service that some lackey like Trey will do for him. Yeah, that IRS thing will be interesting. maybe he was just blowing it up, or maybe he really is going to get raked over the coals. That's another ball of wax. Not to be nit-picky but since Russ has already been arrested and charged with a crime, an indictment isn't necessary. The next step in the proceedings is an arraignment hearing where Russ will be advised of the charges against him and given the opportunity to answer those charges with a plea. If he enters a plea of not guilty, the judge will set a trial date and the rigmarole will begin.

An arrest affidavit is hardly PROOF of ANYTHING. Everything in it might be true, sure, but wait until you get the whole story before you convict someone (who hasn't even been officially charged with a crime). I'm willing to bet there's a lot more to this story than we know so far. There are too many strange things going on here:
- Why wait until the next day to alert police?
- Why wait four days to make an arrest?
- Why brandish a firearm and then unload it?
- Why set up a recorder and wait in an office ... given the alleged history, and how bad the abuse has been, why not just leave?
I'm a fan of the guy, I'll admit, but even at that I'll reserve judgment until some actual facts present themselves (by way of charges coming, actual court proceedings). If it turns out he is guilty (by way of plea of downright conviction) I'll have plenty of egg on my face, but I ask you folks to not jump to conclusions or put too much stock in an affidavit.

The best part is that this could not of happened to a nicer guy... The guy who has attacked everyone in the radio business for anything he could make up, finally shows his true colors... I would be afraid of him but I'm not a woman... Even if part of it is true he is a scum bag.
