KIRO FM has been using the airplane for traffic reports as it was much cheaper than a helicopter. Could've sworn one morning I once heard Adam Gerkhe in the chopper on KIRO and about two minutes later, hearing him doing a relaxed sounding traffic read on KPLU....And a few minutes later, he's on KCPQ without a sweat. And back again. In 30 minutes.

KIRO was using traffic.com (now called Radiate Media) but may also have been bartering with Total Traffic (formerly Metro) for off hours and personnel.
