The future of AM1090?

I might not be the right person to start this thread since I've only listened to AM1090 a handful of times. But I am curious as to what kind of future this station has now that Obama has been elected to the White House and Bush is now a lame duck? In the few times I've listened to that station, it's been nothing but bashing Bush and his failed policies. Now that he's history, what does AM1090 do to keep all those listeners that have spent the last 4 years venting their frustration of him and his administration?

Conservative Talk Radio didn't seem to have much of a problem when Republicans held the White House, the Senate, the House and much of the Supreme Court.

Part of the job of a partisan talk radio host, be it Rush and Savage or someone on the liberal side, is to find things to get mad about. Even when Bush was riding high, Rush managed to get upset about The Drive-by Media or some other bete noir. Rush never said, things are going so well these days, I think I'll just play some music today.

KPTK is going to do just fine the next 4 years, just as conservative radio survived 8 years of Bush and Cheney. Stephanie Miller and crew give us a lot of laughs in the morning with Operation Take Back America ("We're not gonna take it anymore!"), and their impersonations of celebrities and politicians ("there's no business like show business"). Thom Hartman gives us information on the history of progressive politics in the United States, and discusses these issues with folks on the other side of the fence. Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow and Randi Rhodes are all excellent hosts, the only one I don't care for is Mike Malloy. I'm surprised the FCC hasn't washed his mouth out with a bar of soap! I like John Elliot's show, but I'm usually asleep by the time it comes on. The only thing missing from KPTK's lineup is some local content. True, they have the garden show ("Let's get down and dirty") and Crash Talk on Saturday morning, but those hardly qualify as political. Hartman is from Portland, so occasionally he mentions things happening here in the Northwest, but that's about all.

Ron Reagan's show originates from Seattle and I think that's about as close to local programming as they'll get. As much as I enjoy Rachel Maddow, hearing an hour recycled from her TV show the night before isn't so great. I'd rather they expanded Reagan's show.

FYI - since Obama was elected, they've done away with that "operation" as well as the theme song (new one is "Walking on Sunshine")...

Progressive Talk will do fine. KPTK? Well, that depends on CBS.....
