THE KVET SLIDE CONTINUES

K-VET-FM now down to FOURTEENTH PLACE (14). A sad commentary for a station that USED to be consistently in the top 3 or 4, and pulled SEVERAL number ones.

Good job CC!

Overall,

Austin radio has got from bad to worse. My thoughts.

Watching the KVET slide is like driving past a traffic accident, you don't want to look, but still you can't help yourself, I find myself wondering how far down can the possibly go.

If 102.7 isn't part of a subscriber station, they're not going to be listed. Arbitron is only releasing PPM's for subscribing stations

KVET to me seems to be trying to sound to much like KASE......

102.7 has been listed for several months now ... it's KGSR HD-3. Had been in or near the top 10. Statesman wrote something on it the other day.

Well as I said before, I'm glad I got Internet radio. I got a lot of FM stations around the US programed in so I can hear NEW Hip hop, New top 40, Classic country. I have a few online stations also on my presets. Can't CC see what is happening to KVET?

Time for KVET HD-1 to go to KVET HD-2, and 103.1 while KVET-HD2 moves to 98.1 :D

That will take them up several notches from 15th place.

What are the numbers for their target demos? As we all know, 6+ numbers really doesn't say much about a station.

They must be spectacular - after all the PD, Joel Burke just got a real nice contract and was congratulated by Jay Shannon as having done an "incredible job reinventing KVET"

Or.....all he did was fire everyone making a decent salary so that the station could net more even though billing dropped.

I listened to about 20 minutes of KVET-FM this morning. Really sad to hear how it has been "reinvented" I will give them another 6 months and tune in again for a 20 minute sample.

That's why they dropped from 1st place to 15th place. Sad. I don't even listen to them at any time any more. I enjoy listening to KCTI now more and more on my AM Radio.

The lower they go, the better AFAIC. I would like to see the new KOKE-FM BUY the KVET call letters so they can re-invent the Veterans connection. That would recombine all the best things about "The Genuine Austin Original."

KOKE FM buy KVET's call? Why should they go slummin' it?

The history behind their own call is far superior given the damage done to the KVET call in recent years.

KVET feeling threatened in the least by that signal is an example of how far they've fallen.

Best of luck to KOKE and everyone there.
