I'm sorry, but the more I think of it, the more I just think "Camera Guy, are ya following me?" should be included on every commercial from here and forever. ;D

The FreeCreditReport.Com guy is Eric Violette
www.ericviolette.com
He is French Canadian, and he sings in real life but not on the commericals. He only lip synchs because his English isn't good enough.
I can't stand all the infomericals for Obama coins, especiall Montel Williams hawking them
Will Eric Violette have a tv series like the dancing stone aged man did.
this guy is funny.
And one of his statements is,"you're gonna love my nuts"!!!!quadraphonic said:ShamWow Vince is branching out now with the Slap Chop "food processor."
He's going to eventually top Billy Mays for good, just you wait and seeeeeee!
I will have to pay closer attention to the words next time I see it.ihEARDtHAT said:And one of his statements is,"you're gonna love my nuts"!!!!quadraphonic said:ShamWow Vince is branching out now with the Slap Chop "food processor."

The Voice of Reason said:My vote goes to Billy Mays. I have to laugh at his latest commercial which is a device that allows gardeners to plant flowers and scrubs easier than using a shovel or pick by tilling the soil.
If you notice on the commercial the ground has already been rotor-tilled so that a person could use their hands to plant anything. And everything costs $19.95. (of course by the time you add in the S&H that price is more like $40.00.

I just saw a report on Zap2it that the ShamWow guy is apparently in serious legal trouble of his own:

I'll bet he was glad "camera guy" wasn't following him that night. That is just too funny.Tim from Springfield said:quadraphonic said:ShamWow Vince is branching out now with the Slap Chop "food processor."

I disagree. I think government regulation is the only way to eliminate this crap. Not enough people will dump their cable and most TV viewers have limited options for TV and that is only cable or satelite. Sure, you can go with the digital converter but you end up with little or no link to national and international news being that CNN, MSNBC, CNBC et al are only available via paid cable subscription. It isn't totally the cable companies fault. It is the channels selling off their time. The FCC needs to reel in those channels and limit the amount of commercial time they can sell. It is unbearable to watch how badly butchered reruns are on channels like Hallmark, Lifetime etc. to make room for more commercials. Adding insult to injury these same channels sell off hours and hours to Paid Programming spots. Even local TV stations have resorted to those idiotic half hour spots.dhett said:Grindlfan said:This has to stop.
You can stop it, and the gov't doesn't need to get involved. Dump cable. They'll get the message if enough people do.
As it is, thanks to cable, local TV is on life support, especially LPTV. An LPTV station has a hard time succeeding when it can only get 10-20% of the potential audience because the cable companies (or usually company) won't carry it.

It was deregulated in the 80s. It needs to be reregulated today.

The government is already doing enough, thank you very much. As for national and international news, you can get that anywhere, anytime. That you're on this forum makes it safe to assume you've heard of the internet - you can get everything you need from CNN, MSNBC or CNBC there. In fact, you might want to expand your news habits to other providers - the three you mentioned will rot your brain.
My taxes are too high as it is - stop expecting the government to be your nanny, or pay for it yourself.

Grindlfan said:Your typical neo-con comments of expecting the government to be my nanny and paying for it myself make no sense. As a tax payer and a consumer of goods and services, I expect my government to work for me in my best interests. These cable channels and the cable/satelite companies are getting away with murder, much like most of corporate America and it needs to stop.
