The Mount Rushmore of Boston Radio

There's been an interesting thread on the New York Radio Message Board the past few days soliciting opinions as to who would be the four greatest personalities in the history of New York City radio --- the "Mount Rushmore", as it were, of the medium.

Allow me to throw out the same question here, with regard to Boston. Which four people, since 1921, would constitute the Mount Rushmore of Boston radio? We're not talking only in terms of popularity here; we're talking influence as well.

My nominees: Bob Emery, Jerry Williams, Don Kent, Dick Summer. :) Close runners-up: David Brudnoy, Carl deSuze, Charles Laquidara, Arnie Ginsburg. I can think of others, too, but I'm pretty firm on the top four.

Don Kent was TV I wouldnt but him for radio. Same with Bob Emery. Id put Arnie and Charles both over them.

Jess Cain absolutely deserves to be on the list. I also think Norm Nathan should be.

Charles Laquidara, Matt Siegel, Gary LaPierre, and Sunny Joe White

Bob Emery was on the radio. He did a kid's show before Channel 4 existed.

What? No votes for WHDH's own Bob and Ray? They could share one face.

What no mention of Eddie Andelman, or together as the original Sports Huddle trio of Eddie, Mark, and Jim ? That was appointment listening in their heyday..

Arnie Ginsburg, Carl DeSuze, Jess Cain, Dale Dorman, Larry Glick, Jerry Williams, Charles Laquidara, Matt Seigel, Louise Morgan, Gus Saunders, Paul Benzaquin, David Brudnoy, Dick Summer, Bruce Bradley and Norm Nathan.
