There's been an interesting thread on the New York Radio Message Board the past few days soliciting opinions as to who would be the four greatest personalities in the history of New York City radio --- the "Mount Rushmore", as it were, of the medium.
Allow me to throw out the same question here, with regard to Boston. Which four people, since 1921, would constitute the Mount Rushmore of Boston radio? We're not talking only in terms of popularity here; we're talking influence as well.
My nominees: Bob Emery, Jerry Williams, Don Kent, Dick Summer.
Close runners-up: David Brudnoy, Carl deSuze, Charles Laquidara, Arnie Ginsburg. I can think of others, too, but I'm pretty firm on the top four.
