I always thought that song contained one of the most profound lines in pop music... "You play around, you lose your wife; you play too long, you lose your life."

Another one with thought-provoking lyrics - and come to think of it, it's also a 'name' song - "Jack and Diane" by John Mellencamp... "Life goes on long after the thrill of livin' is gone."
