Corrected in good nature - many people misspell the name of this group, due to the Spanish verb, Trabajar, which translated to English means, "to work."
That said, I bought their first album so many years ago I can't recall the year, but it was early '60s.
I still wonder if the stories about the brothers finding a guitar in the Brazilian forest and learning the intricate chord progressions in songs such as "Maria Elena", the recording which brought them to the fore, are true or merely a promoter's hype. Fact or fiction not withstanding, the two brothers became fluent on guitar and their expertise eventually caught the ear of Chet Atkins resulting in an instrumental album recorded in Nashville, one album of many. They also recorded and released material with singer Don Gibson, including the song "Oh Lonesome Me".
