Actually I talked with Mr Richard Singleton about a position in Engineering they are offering a great compensation package . According to Mr Singleton the Vice President of the Company they are doing quite well and are seeking to purchase a couple other stations in the area. Desperation not at all !! Go look at their operation both on Palm at Herndon and in the Old Security bank bldg downtown!! The VP told me when I was applying for the engineering position that they have no debt service no loans and they are very cash rich I bet many of the others can’t say that!
The station just barely began and has no ratings. It can't possibly have much in the way of good rate sales, as buyers hammer new stations on rates while they are trying to prove themselves.
In radio, everyone has cash going in. Most of them have no cash after the first year.
There are 77 signals in the market, and 9 are translators. Ther are 6 LPFMs. There are 42 commercial stations excluding the translators. There are 16 non-coms, too. All of them looking for time buys or sponsorships. How prosperous is a 180 watt translator at 88 feet and which covers less than a quarter of the metro going to be? It's like taking a Yugo to a drag race....
