Just a minor code change in the CMS, also appears to be in place for the other ex-CMG properties. I wouldn’t think much of it.So this is interesting…the Country Legends 97.1 website says “An Urban One Brand”…

Perhaps August 15 is the launch of programming under an LMA while mid-October is the anticipated sale closing. The transfer process might be quick as the seller is simply a divestiture trust and EMF is well known to the FCC.I was told August 15 by an EMF employee in the know
Meanwhile KTHT continues to ID as “A Cox Media Group station.”🤔So this is interesting…the Country Legends 97.1 website says “An Urban One Brand”…
Sounds like EMF wants to close on the purchase, then make changes, skipping an LMA.That was the plan. Then it wasn't and won't be.
I would assume it's mostly logistics-related, as there's lots involved to get the feed out to that TX site in podunk Shepherd, Texas... I doubt there is any IP connectivity out there short of a satellite or cell connection.Sounds like EMF wants to close on the purchase, then make changes, skipping an LMA.
Wonder if they will do external promotion using the K-Love branding, or will there be restrictions as in Los Angeles?
Is there much difference between K-Love and AIR1? Would it make more sense for EMF to flip this KTHT to Air1 so that it can increase coverage?
Oh, this format got blown up and most of the staff got canned... they just waited a month and went through a series of "brainstorming" staff meetings to give the illusion that we were helping them choose what they planned to do all along.Of course, all of us "veterans"* have stories of "The format is changing so you're all fired." The new staff was across the street in the Holiday In with all the carts and liner cards and the music log, and as soon as the old staff was gone, they marched in and fired up the new format
* "Veterans" means we've been fired at least a couple of times and have the related stories to tell.
There would be no restrictions in Houston as UnivisionTelevisa is not using the name there.Sounds like EMF wants to close on the purchase, then make changes, skipping an LMA.

Someone went thru all that trouble and didn't bother to pull the CMG Banner ads from the sites.Just a minor code change in the CMS, also appears to be in place for the other ex-CMG properties. I wouldn’t think much of it.
Kent covered your second question. The answer to this one is yes. Air 1 is a different musical approach than K-Love. You will likely find K-Love to be very close to KSBJ in its programming delivery. The biggest difference is, of course, that it is a national broadcast, so expect nothing local to Houston unless they are promoting an upcoming event or concert coming to the city.Is there much difference between K-Love and AIR1?
They also did not pull/update the "advertise with us" Page. Still CMGSomeone went thru all that trouble and didn't bother to pull the CMG Banner ads from the sites.
Possible T1 ....or RF STL ...but EMF will likely put a dish in for sat feedI would assume it's mostly logistics-related, as there's lots involved to get the feed out to that TX site in podunk Shepherd, Texas... I doubt there is any IP connectivity out there short of a satellite or cell connection.
I guess that shouldn't surprise me much. MeTV used to be on KPRC 2.2 before it moved to KYAZ in spring 2021, but I think even this past spring (2 years after leaving KPRC), KYAZ was running PSAs labeled "KPRC 2 Cares" despite the fact that the station has no ties to KPRC whatsoever.KTHT is still IDing as “A Cox Media Group station”.😖
Now what if the trust is temporarily running 92.1 and that's what's being put on 102.1 HD2Still don’t know how RO is still able to program their KMJQ HD-2 (Praise) onto KROI without it being considered as a sixth FM station for them in the market. If Praise was a stand-alone on 92.1 there would be no issue, as it would be completely under control by the Trust.🤔😣
I‘ve seen that very recently with KPRC news promos also. How is that possible?I guess that shouldn't surprise me much. MeTV used to be on KPRC 2.2 before it moved to KYAZ in spring 2021, but I think even this past spring (2 years after leaving KPRC), KYAZ was running PSAs labeled "KPRC 2 Cares" despite the fact that the station has no ties to KPRC whatsoever.
So how is that different from an LMA in regard to the market cap? No issue with KTHT, but the Praise simulcast is questionable.Y’all, the trust is just a separate entity on paper… Urban One is still operating the stations, just on the trust’s behalf.
KTHT is going directly to EMF and was consummated today.Should keep a sharp eye on the daily FCC filings (thank you MichI and the fcc.today website) for the Trust sale filings for KROI and KTHT to SBS and EMF.
