"Moments In Time" auction house is currently brokering the LP ...recovered from a flower pot outside the Dakota on the very night of the assassination. the gentleman held on to it for some 18 years and sold it, the current owners are selling again.....truly one of a kind. Too wierd.firepoint525 said:By the way, I have heard that the autographed copy of the Double Fantasy album was "lost" in the ensuing chaos after the shooting. If MDC still has it, it is of no use to him because he can't buy a "get out of jail free" card with it! :![]()
Are there any photographs of this album? I'd love to see it. And of course, how is this auction house able to verify the authenticity of this particular LP? I could probably forge Lennon's signature onto my Double Fantasy album, but that wouldn't make it worth any more than the $6.00 or so that I paid for it!hornet61 said:"Moments In Time" auction house is currently brokering the LP ...recovered from a flower pot outside the Dakota on the very night of the assassination. the gentleman held on to it for some 18 years and sold it, the current owners are selling again.....truly one of a kind. I believe a photographer who hung out at the Dakota took a picture of Lennon signing the Lp ..... the LP had the Killers fingerprints and was used at the trial and returned to the man that had found it.http://www.momentsintime.com/Lennon.htmfirepoint525 said:Are there any photographs of this album?
